There's only one way to describe how the day went: Lots of down time! The field is a forest behind someone's house. The two games I played were extremely short for the amount of downtime it took to organize everyone together. It took about 20 minutes to give out red and blue armbands for people to form teams, 10 minutes to pick what type of game to play, and 5 minutes for that game to end. Nice people and all, but the organization was just horrible. It took forever to start anything and the field got old after the only two games I got to play.

I have to apologize again for not being able to make it out. I woke up puking at about 4:30 and there was just no way I could do it. Greniewicki hasn't ever hosted before, and without someone experienced around, any first timer is going to be in over his head.

As a team, the Hellfish would like to apologize for hosting a game with... no Hellfish.
Unfortunately, as the date grew nearer, none of us except for Knief were able to make it. And then this morning he was too sick to make it out, so it was run by a group of guys who had never ran a game before. Next time we have a game there we'll be sure to get more of our guys out there to really help host it.

My bad guys. I didn't mean to make it sound it was towards the Hellfish at all.

I thought the few games we did play were pretty fun. I had a good time. I love playing airsoft in blizzards, but I hate driving to airsoft games in blizzards.. And like was stated earlier, there could have been less down time. By the way I was the guy who locked his keys in the trunk of his car.. I ended up finding an ax and prying part of my trunk open and wiggling my keys out with a piece of metal I found(I put everything back). Took a good 20 minutes to get them out. Anyway had a good time and I hope to see some new improvements and structures on the field for the next game.

Good Field, Bad Organization.
Nice people, Shitty Weather. Even though snow is fun as hell to play in!

Everyone was cool and all and it was only $5 so no biggie but when it takes 40 mins to get a 5 minutes game started there is something wrong. :/ Otherwise, I liked the field, I'll definatly come back in the summer when there isn't all that snow to endlessly fog your goggles. -Dan

The condensation was destroying my rifles accuracy. After a while it made it hardly any fun, should have brought an AEG. Plus I was too worried about destroying my car I shouldn't have even came in, so I dipped out around 1:30.
The field width is skinny, basically making it a shooting gallery. Bolt actions are probably prime there in the Fall and Spring, but keep them at 500fps and below, engagements get close.

Allow me to begin by apologizing for the epic ammounts of downtime. Lazarus as a team is dedicated and working to learn the ropes, but we are still VERY much so ameuteurs, and brand new to hosting an event over 10 people ^^ We intend to set up another event on the property in either 2ish months or possibly in the spring. As Knief said, unfortunately the morning of, I got the info that he wasn't going to make it, so we were running off of ideas, though i did very much so appreciate his 10 text essay he sent me the morning of while hanging over a toilet in an attempt to give me some guidance Again, I very much so apologize for all the down time. The cold, mixed with the lack of dry area to work with, on top of a few of our guy's guns breaking down including my own threw us off. That added on top of us having no experience at all in this factor made for a very interesting game In the future we hope to have the kinks worked out and much better planning on our part. Perhaps we can get Hellfish to give it another go when we set it up as well. Thank you to those who showed your support and stuck it out with us however, we did have a hell of a lot of fun with those that showed and played. To the man with the ax...WHAT? I have nothing else to say Just kidding, ya gotta do what ya gotta do Your new name is now mcguyver hahaha (Can't remember the spelling) Again, thank you all for showing up, and we hope that we can do much better next time.

I really enjoyed it. It did take a while for some of the games, but for me, that was fine, as I was literally turning into a block of ice. I ended up having to get medical attention for my fingertips (forsrs). If it had been an all day game, I could have some seriously bad bloodclots/frostbite.
As for the field, it has a lot of potential. It's a little on the small side, but you don't need much more. Would love to see some trenches dug in there eventually. ALSO: One big issue I noticed is the boundaries, you guys need to build some natural boundaries, or completely mark off the areas. But all that will come in time, I'm sure.
All in all, for what it was, I had a great time, I wish that so many people didn't drop out. And I'm looking forward to your next game.

i do agree that the field is a little small, but hopefully with your support we can move brush and build up some structures come spring time. Im picturing it as a speed ball course kinda like paintball with lots of little bunkers and fox holes. This would possibly make for lots of small skirmishes once we become more organized ^_^

You know, back before Spy Ops was MTAC, Little Bear ran a field out of his back yard that couldn't have been bigger than what's back there on this field. What he did, and what I think would be awesome to do here, was build a small, roofless house. The layout was perfect to avoid stalemates and it was fun every time (I would probably copy it exactly). Construction was relatively cheap because it was all plywood and palates. If we could get something like that going here, I think we could make something big out of the small size of the field.

Working on getting the pictures up, however the majority was video footage, and I've recently been told there has been some sort of glitch with it, and so far only the audio can be pulled from the camera. Crossing our fingers for this to be fixed, would be a shame to lose all that footage.

Not to chime in on and event I wasn't even at but if you decided to go the building way my team and I could help you with that. We built and tore down MTAC 2 times and we just tore down the shoot house that Knief is talking about. I can show you the lay out of it if you would like. Were getting pretty good at building CQC buildings and fields. Hope I can Help.
