Hello,
I am a current MSU student and I have been interested in starting a Michigan State Spartan Airsoft club/team for some time now. After researching the University of Connecticut's airsoft team, (also known as UConn Airsoft) I know that it is very plausible.
My only concern is not having enough interested students that would join the club. I know personally that I almost sold all of my gear once I started here and when you're going to State, spending money is the last thing you want to do. This is a concern because the aim of this club/team would to attend airsoft events as a team, save money doing so, and generally having a great time shooting up people with fellow peers. This would not be a club entirely composed of meetings and talk, though I'm sure we'd have some here and there.
I am posting this to find any current MSU students that would be interested in said group. Also, if you are not a student or a student somewhere else and have any suggestions please feel free.

I'm a high school senior but I was recently accepted to Michigan State and will most likely be attending in the fall of 2011. Although I probably wouldn't be able to be apart of this until then I would jump on this immediately if I was currently attending. If this is running successfully a little less than a year from now I will join in a heartbeat. If you are still struggling a little bit to expand the club I would be happy and willing to help organize it. (I helped organize my politics/debate club here at my high school and I have experience directing film/ music video productions outside of school) I'm pretty serious about playing airsoft and I'm not planning on selling my gear. I don't think I'll be able to be any help until the fall of 2011 so I'll just wish you good luck for now. I really hope your successful and can find enough people that are interested. A future Spartan is very interested. Good luck.

I have a teamamte that attends MSU. His call sign on here is Sytox. I recommend sending him a PM as he is always looking to play. However, this isn't always possible while he is at school due to his location. I'm sure he would be happy to help!

I just set-up (successfully) a funded club at Kettering University. let me know if you need some help with a constitution or anything, I can probably send a copy of ours. It might provide a nice framework.

Overkill thanks a lot. I am sure we will contact you once we figure out if we have enough interested people to make it worth while. How many members are in your club?
I will also contact Sytox, thanks again.

Hes on here. You have to go to the members bar on the top~go to S~hes on page 27. You would probably have better luck sending a message to his email though. Which is viewable through his profile.
I wish you luck in your adventure as well!

This has been tried before. There is another thread on it. I go to MSU, and we could never get enough guys to really get together and make a good group.
More power to you if you can get a big enough group of guys together, but it hasn't worked out so when in the past.

I would be very interested. OP my MSU email is folkert4@msu.edu. hit me up with new info, I'lll try to get some of my buddies interested, I know a few. I think posters at dinning halls and message boards might accomplish our goal. The only problem is the storage of our guns and ammo, as it is illegal under MSU's code to own or posses a projectile weapon of any kind while in the residence halls. Another problem would be where to play.

I guess since I'm staying in an apartment I didn't really think about storing them in the dorms. I'll continue contacting other University teams to see what they do about that.

I'm right near MSU and can join in for some pick-up games let me know if you guys have some thing going on. I'd really be interested in a team if you're serious.
