I recently watched Band of Brothers, and was inspired to assemble an authentic American WWII loadout (I don't know if I want to go Paratrooper, infantry, Etc. etc. ). But I am wondering where I should start. I am looking for suggestions on Gear, Clothing, Guns, and where to buy them. Anything you have to suggest, I would like to hear about it.

First place you should go, for absolutely ANYTHING- www.ima-usa.com. International Military Antiques USA, great site with a great owner, Cristian Cranmer. Anything you could want to find he'll have on there or try to get. You will not be disappointed! After that, go to www.bayonetinc.com, where you can find M43(which almost all troops, including paratroopers, had), M44, and M45 suspenders for unbelievably low prices. I got my M43's for $9.95!!! They don't have as good of a selection of field gear, but they are super cheap. Also, don't be afraid to check eBay. By the way, if you have a Thompson, you should buy a 3-cell 30-round stick mag pouch from IMA. I got one, and it's amazing! If you want anymore advice, PM me. My favorite load-out of mine is a WWII 34th ID(Italian Campaign) loadout that is rigorously authentic. I also have a WWII commando kit, and I can send you pics if you need a reference. Have fun choosing a unit, and feel free to add a unit patch to your left shoulder. Just don't put chevrons on there. They are EARNED!

Like Grandpa always says "Don't do that." Don't be the person he says that to.

Talk to sgttom he is incharge of the WWII Airsoft Reenactors of Michigan. Also if you liked Band of Brothers try watching The Pacific. It's made by the same people who made Band of Brothers and if you want more info on the Pacific theater watch that. As for guns, gear, and clothing try www.onlinemilitaria.com or www.atthefront.com/ for clothing and gear. As for guns any retailer large retailer is bound to have WWII era guns. Any else talk to sggtom like I said or PM me if you can't get a hold of him.

Chaos, I did search. I searched multiple times. It rendered no results. Maybe you didn't search correctly? I searched "wwii gear" set the search back 300 days and got five results four from this page and one ta' the guide I linked for you. It's not a problem and the forum is obviously hear to help, just pointing out that you probably forgot to set the search back. Common mistake!

I just stickied the WWII loadout thread, so that it would be easier to find.
