I couldn't agree more with chaos. There were some problems like expected though the biggest thing I saw was cammo confusion which was slightly rectified by the arm bands, but with the jubilee of cammos there you just can't stop everything.
I thought that the game went every well though, and had a great time doing some assaults on the Speak-easy with Flynn. Some of those charges working better than others, one of those I got lit up by three police and was given some praise by then for it. Also the Field is truly one of a kind with very solid buildings like the Speak-Easy which is just as hard to siege as it is to defend.
I would also like to thank T.E.S.T for a great over all game and handling all the shit as best as they could. And to the people at blast camp for letting us play there.

I'm so tired of people bitching about this incident, your team mate didn't call his hit so the ref asked him to call himself out, he refused, the mod shot him in the gear and told him that he was now hit wither way. Maybe he shouldn't of pushed him or whatever but they were both at fault. Coming to the mods and bitching up a storm didn't help in the least, this time he questioned the wrong guy and was screamed at as well as escorted off the field. It could have been handled better on both sides. LESSON LEARNED. As for camo problems, they got twice as many people as they expected...what can you do? I don't know if you've ever hosted an event, but shit happens they did thew best they could and have already said prepay only will fix this next year. TEST did everything they could, what went wrong wasn't under their control and can't be changed. TEST did a good job with the event, but there were mis communications among refs and sudden rule changes mid instance which threw the game off multiple times. I have actually hosted a few events, and yes problems do come up, and yes they take a ton of work. If you read my post all the way through, I credited the ideas for next year, but I am giving my AAR for what did happen. The armbands was an example of TEST adapting very well. However, my point was that the PLAYERS, not TEST were not handling the uniforms well, being dishonest and using the confusion to their benefit, a very dishonest move in a game about honesty. And I do not think you have the right person for the ref shooting incident as my guy was not kicked off the field. Regardless of whether or not he was hit, the ref should never have shot him or placed a hand on him, period. Honestly, it's a dumb idea to keep shooting into a base if it's going to postpone a spawn. That's bordering on spawn-camping. The CO's did have to remain stationary. When we moved our base to the speakeasy, we had to hide Canto because he could not come with us. Any time the police were getting reports of him in several different locations outside our base, it was one of his body doubles. While your teammate should not have been 'shoved' (I was there and it wasn't anywhere near a shove) and shot at, he also shouldn't have shot my teammate from 5 ft. away through a window, and in the head for that matter. The problem with the "spawn camping" came from the spawn and CO spot being in the same place. We were not able to get to the CO with all of the dead people and alive people hiding behind dead people, clogging the way. While I agree that the spawn should be delayed inevitably, that is how the rule was explained to us. I have no problem with and agree with the shooting delaying one spawn time, but that is not what we were told and we planned according to the rules we were told. And while yes we did receive reports of Canto doubles being in many places, that is not what I am referring to. I personally asked SWAT A4 whether Canto was in the base and was informed that he was not. A4 also said to me at that point that the CO did not have to remain stationary as said earlier, it was just not advised that they move around.

I agree with Maverick. This was one of the best games I have ever been to and most the problems have already been stated , so no point in repeating them. However, I agree with Maverick. What does a Mod even need to carry a gun for? Unless he is bent on shooting someone he doesn't need to carry any sort of replica...AT ALL. However, Mavericks friend needs to realize that whether he likes it or not the Mod's word goes. No matter how ridiculous. They are both at fault and both could have handled it differently. I will say, at one point when walking back to Re- Spawn I noticed two Mods sitting under a tree next to a bush talking...If you want to have a conversation , please do it off the field I am playing on. If you're wearing a moderator vest I expect you to do your job.
Great Job to both teams and TEST you guys did great. And what I love best is you are ALREADY working on ways to improve it next year.

Is seriously doubt you have hosted an event where you where expecting 90 people and got 177... Actually, he was asked if he wanted to talk about it in the parking lot, I was in the base during the entire thing. As for the underlined portion, I'm not sure what you're even talking about..I feel like your taking small imperfections and blowing them WAY out of proportion. What does a Mod even need to carry a gun for? Unless he is bent on shooting someone he doesn't need to carry any sort of replica...AT ALL. However, Mavericks friend needs to realize that whether he likes it or not the Mod's word goes. If you're wearing a moderator vest i expect you to do your job. The mods all carried guns for when they needed to roleplay, it didn't hurt anything. Couldn't agree more with the underlined bit. They were actually communicating and trying to solve the problems going on, in no way were they just chatting, they did do their job and they did it VERY well. I would like to see you moderate 177 people with 14 mods...

No, not on that scale I have not hosted an event. I was referring to the fact that I have hosted games and I do understand the work that goes into them.
You are not sure what I am talking about because it did not happen to people on your side. There were several instances where we (police) asked an individual what team they were on because the uniform was iffy and they responded that they were a cop, only to shoot us as soon as we let them be. Also there was at least on person with a green ghillie top and woodland camo pants who walked behind our lines (our uniform was camo, so no one thought anything of it), and he proceeded to shoot up a crapload of our guys. You say blowing out of proportion because you have no idea what happened.
Just so you are aware, I am in no way upset with TEST or how they event was ran (mind the two mods), there are simply points that need to be made.
EDIT: No one said anything about the Mods word not being final, that is always the case. The point in question is the shooting and physical contact, neither of which are acceptable. Stop changing the subject of the incident. YES he should have taken the word of the mod, NO the mod should have NEVER shot him or placed a hand on him.

No one is bitching glass I am simply defending the points that were disputed against when I posted my AAR. No one had to "bash" my points.

Stop changing the subject from the incident at hand. YES he should have taken the word of the mod, NO the mod should have NEVER shot him or placed a hand on him. Why does a shot in the gear matter? He had no problem shooting one of my teammates in the head from ~5ft away.. IT'S AIRSOFT YOU GET SHOT. I'm done arguing, I'm tired of hearing you bitch about an incident I don't even think you witnessed...

I think it's been made clear by SWAT A4 that he has taken into account all of the issues addressed to him during the game and in the AAR's on several forums. At this point gentlemen, it's safe to say that any further arguing about who did what is moot. Can we please move on? This is ridiculous.
SWATA4, you did the best you could given the cluster-fuck you had to deal with as far as attendance. It's impossible for you to control the actions of a few when you have 177 people after only expecting 90 to contend with. Kudos to you for still managing to host a fun event with that burden. It would be hard-pressed for ANY event coordinator to deal with that sort of situation.
I'll post a full AAR in a bit.

Believe me, I was not impressed with the way things were going. A huge problem I had, was when my ref pushed someone, I talked to him and he removed himself from gameplay. He had a weapon on him for the roleplaying that we were doing. At that time, he was a ref; but most my staff had weapons just because of their previous or future roles. I personally apologize for the push; my staff member apologized that it happened; and the situation was rectified on the spot. He stepped off the field. and then we were even more short handed. I do not condone the action; and it was punished. However, if a referee calls you out; NEVER argue it. I would have ejected the player myself if I was there. 1. Person bitches about cheating. Choice A: We witness it, call the person out. They say that's BS and start screaming they're not out. Choice B: We let it go; we're bitched at for not doing our job as a ref. We can't win...We had people yelling "fuck the referee's" across the field towards the end. Was real nice to hear after us all calling off work and spending days and our own money on this event for the players. But, I see all sides of it; and next year will be an amazing event because of this one.

Just a side note, SWAT...
In every sport, the refs are hated. Take it as a compliment. It means they did their job for the most part! Unfortunately, in Airsoft, players are still learning that active refs are a necessary part of the game. Someone has to make the tough call, right or wrong!
