Have you thought about trying to use some epoxy putty? You could then try to paint it to match.

Have you thought about trying to use some epoxy putty? You could then try to paint it to match. Thinking of that just as I read this. I've got some Green Stuff from years ago, when I did tiny things with customizing Legos, and had to use it today to fill in a small gap while shaving and sanding my G23's frame.

The biggest issue is that the space is directly over the blow back chamber. That means there are tiny springs moving and the cylinder. The sight leaves a half rectangle shape like [ with the springs and cylinder in the concave space. I think either JB weld or welding on material is the only reliable way to seal it up. Anyone know how JB weld handles impact stress? The piston is attached to the site and every time the slide goes back the rear site takes a hit.

If you let it set it should be fine, there isn't that much force hitting it that'll make it shatter. At least in my experiences.
Sorry for the necro his question was never answered.

A CAR-15 Stock with a butt-pad would complete that bad boy. That E-Mod looks out of place.

Yup, you've done it. I now must build a DMR-upper for my Polarstar...
Curse you and your beautiful rifle. My wallet cries!

You really seem to have outdone yourself again with this build. Really though everything you build seems to outdo the last.
And the car15 stock would look pretty pretty. Although I think it looks perfect as it sits.

That thing is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks. I think so too. Something about the Mod0 is really appealing to me. Yup, you've done it. I now must build a DMR-upper for my Polarstar... Curse you and your beautiful rifle. My wallet cries! Everyone enjoys a good long rifle. Ignore your wallet. They never want anyone to have fun. A CAR-15 Stock with a butt-pad would complete that bad boy. That E-Mod looks out of place. I think the Emod does look a little out of place, but I really like it. It has great battery storage space and I get a really nice cheek weld. It also shoulders very well. I have a CAR stock and I really don't like it. Their just too small for me. Anything else anyone can think of that I should try? I honestly want to try a PRS stock but I think that would look pretty awful.

What about an ACS stock?

The more I think about it the more I like it how it is. I'm more function over form and the E-mod, which admittedly does look a little out of place, is a great stock. The ACS L would probably look good and I would like to try a standard CRANE stock. I don't think anyone I know has either. Time to buy I guess.

I think a magpul STR would look even bettee than the ACS but with the colt trades I think a classic crane would look best.

Beautiful replica. And knowing that you're behind it, I'm sure it shoots even better than it looks.
