Really liking the m14 loadout. Looks extremely light and mobile, compared to some of the loadouts I have seen in the gallery. Where do you keep your 1911 mags? Do you have designated pouches for them (can't tell from the pic).
Great shots as usual, is that a leapers scope on the m14?

I kept it down to the absolute bare minimum. I'm usually loaded to the vests capacity and this time I wanted to try the polar opposite. So far I like it.
Now that you point it out I realize the pistol pouches are hidden. They are on the very sides next to the M14 pouches. I have a double on each side, with 4 1911 mags wedged in them for a total of 8 on the vest and one in the pistol.
Yes that is a 3-9x40 Illuminated Leapers scope. Perfect match to the rifle.

I've been thinking of doing an M14 DMR loadout, and you have the best one I have seen so far.
That is a big scope too.

Hey look its Ghast's G3. That looks nice though. How does it shoot? Not sure if you mean Ghast's actual G3, but this one is not his. I picked this one up from Kilo with the A4 furniture, the unfitted wood furniture, and the RAS. Installing the wood wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. It shoots terrible. I used to have another CA G3 and it shot decent, but not great. I think the new CA hop up design sucks. It's sort of like the G36 hop up and the M4 hop up fused together. I'm sure I can mod it to shoot better, but at this time it only shoots 125 or so feet at 390fps. Obviously pretty horrible. I think either the arm doesn't apply enough hop, or the internal diameter is too large and lets air leak past the bucking. I only bought it so that should my M14 break I can quickly swap out my mags and hit the field again because both the M14 and G3 use 7.62 mag pouches.

No, I know it wasn't Ghast's. I was pointing out the similarity.

That's actually my old G3 from '09 when I first got into the sport. It shot terrible with the CA hop unit in it, added a TM unit/rubber and it shot great.(Sounds like it might be broke.) It's a HK 91 stock set purchased from RobertRTG. also it has a black hand guard is because the OD one split up near the thumb groove. I sold her to kilo so I could buy my kjw m4

Thanks for the info! If it's a TM hop up unit I don't think it's the problem. It must be the bucking. I was going to swap it out but at least now I know I don't need to waste time with the hop up unit.
It's also good to hear it is HK wood. I had a feeling it was.

How do you like running with a throat mic? I absolutely love it. Behind my hydro carrier it is my second favorite piece of gear. It makes things so much easier not having to worry about my mic hanging up on anything or not speaking loud enough directly into my talkabout. The G3 and 1911 look amazing ! Thanks. WE came out with a full chrome version so I might pick one up and swap slides.

Got a killer deal last week. A G&G SOC16 for $50. The piston head O ring was missing which gave it maybe 30 fps. Replaced the O ring and it's back in firing shape. I wasn't very impressed by the internals, but it shoots well. The piston is really cheap feeling and the cylinder head nozzle was loose. This will allow me to use my 7.62 load out indoors for CQB. I know SOC16's are supposed to have Aimpoints but all I have for now is an EoTech. Shown with my Classic Army M14 Match. I was absolutely blown away with the performance of my M14 Match at Op: Fueling the fire. I was able to land multiple one shot hits from beyond my targets range of firing back. It had no mechanical problems (my cheap mosfet burned out, but the AEG itself is fine) all day and never skipped a beat. I love it. My newest acquisition, Tokyo Marui L96 AWS. Picked it up from Blag here in the classifieds. I crono'd it at 273 fps with a .2 and setting the hop up on to shoot flat brought it down to 213 fps with .2's. Say what you will about FPS not meaning anything but 213fps with a .2 in a bolt action is just not going to cut it. I swapped in a 130 spring and it shot amazingly far but it bound up on the 7mm guide. I just need a 9mm spring guide and it's good to go. I will have to re shoot these photos because a storm rolled in and made it hard to shoot the black and green together. The mag system is pretty cool. It uses a loading fin mounted to the cylinder head nozzle to pull a bb out when the bolt is pulled back. It then rolls the bb up a little feed ramp and into the hop up. The hop up is heavily borrowed from the Marui M14, which is a good thing. It uses VSR type buckings. Mods: Laylax zero trigger and piston PDI Raven cylinder and cylinder head Laylax 7mm spring guide (Needs to be replaced with 9mm) PDI SP140 spring waiting to go in with 9mm guide TM silencer adapter TM 40rd mags x 3 I've wanted to try the bolt action role for a long time, and I was waiting for this rifle to come out for a while.
