Alright guys,I live in Manchester Michigan, there are 2 possible places where i am going to hold a great airsoft war [if i can]. Me and a few friends were thinking of holding a big big airsoft battle in the woods, Ive got my place where there is built cover [decent] and about 3-4 acres to All play in, now the second and way better place that i want to play in is at my friends house which i don't know if we can or not, this place we nicknamed the Cement plant has Cement Walls all over the place that are pretty tall and perfect for a forest/urban like environment. Great for paint ball and airsoft and great cover, real fun place. [Please note that you could fall and hurt your self or Possibly break your gun if you dropped it on the cement, also the walls that you CAN get on top of are dangerous if you fall, so, just use the walls to get to the other side, there are like cement wall buildings n such. nothing dangerous unless you are fooling around on top of em. Just watch it and you wont get hurt, you don't even have to get on the walls if you don't want, there is plenty of areas around the walls and spots that have the walls not so high.
Now what me and my friend were thinking was that [if we can] have people over for the entire day and night [Maybe even Morning] just playing airsoft just like a real battle would be fought, There will be 2 Bases Made up of tents, tables to hold our stuff on such as food, drinks, ammo, guns, and other things, and Cover to defend our bases. This might be a fairly exhausting battle seeing as how it will last all night. So, what we will try to do is supply as much food and drinks as possible, If you guys want, you can bring your own energy drinks to help keep you awake, Also if you want, bring your own food. Please note that food and drinks will already be served unless a problem occurs. Speaking of problems occurring, If we cant have an all niter Battle, we will just have a day battle probably lasting from 1:00 or 3:00 and lasting till like 10:00. and that we wont set up a bunch of tents but would rather just play TDM, DM, and VIP games And have one team start in the field and one team start at the other side and both advance, or one defends and the other attacks. The reason is only because setting up 2 bases for just a day would be a waste of time to us.
Now please note that if we do have a battle, we will charge you 10 dollars per person just becouse we are providing free ammo, food, water, drinks, and we MIGHT let you borrow a gun if you really need one. In the case that someone contributes to the good of the battle by giving the party for example a box of CO2 cartridges or help get ammo for the battle, your charge will be decreased to 3 dollars. Once i decide if i have this battle or not i will post another thread confirming the location, time, and other needed information, And if i decide not to have it i will say so on this threat, if you have any questions PM me or post them on this thread, thanks a lot, peace.
Also, Please Bring As much Camo as you can. We are trying to make this more of a military like simulation and its just more fun to have Camo or tactical gear, so bring all of it if you can. I don't care if all you have is Desert or Snow, just bring it anyways, [Snow will blend decent at night] so don't be afraid, just bring it. If you don't have any Camo or tactical gear what so ever, that is just fine, but it would be very much appreciated if you did.

Also i want to note that we don't require full face masks but we do in fact require safety goggles, anyone without them wont have the ability to play, Only some glasses are allowed to be used while played because some have the same capabilities as regular eye protection. Also we want players from the ages of 13-19, We might accept older ages but no one younger, PM me if you are interested in playing but you are older then the age limit. Thanks a lot again and wear eye protection while playing guys!!!

Anyone below the age of 15 will need to have an adult with them or proof that an adult allowed them to come, just message me if you have any problems with that, i might be able to work something out.

Okay, dude, it needs to said, and I'm POSTIVE a Moderator here will eat you alive about this, but..
You can't play on property that is not privately owned by someone you know or trust. YOU or anyone else that attends, could be the next one that gets our sport banned for good by getting in trouble with the law. I like your emphasis on Eye Protection, but everything you just posted will not fly unless you give written proof of consent to use the land, and have permission and acceptance from people living nearby.
I'll let the mods do the rest.

Well, I do have permission to do it on my land and my friends, the people in the surrounding area don't mind much neither, just as long as we don't trespass on their property or do something like vandalize their property or they house for the matter. They wont mind at all. And the Cement place is on my friends land, not someone else, I wont even be close to getting in trouble, Ive played major battles B4 on this land and no one minded, in fact the neighbors are just people who mind their own business and don't care at all. Also just remember that this is my first legit time using this, i am just trying to get even more people to play at my event, i already have some people lined up.

I'll go easy on you since you're new here, but I don't think it's a good idea for a 14 year old to try to host an event. First things first, read through this thread: miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=eventplanningmain&action=display&thread=20186Secondly, watch your spelling, punctuation, and grammar. That's a big rule on this forum. Also, do you guys have insurance? If someone falls and hurts themselves they can sue you, so what do you have to cover them? Do you have experience hosting events? How do I know it won't just be a huge shitshow? Do you even have experience coming to regular MiA events (fields that regularly hold events)? Do you know what it's like to host a decent event (not just a bunch of kids running around in a forest)? 3-4 acres really isn't nearly enough for an outdoor event... Oh and lastly, no one in this sport/hobby calls airsoft events "wars" or "battles". EDIT: One more thing, don't triple post. There's an "Edit" button at the top of your post, so if you have something more to add, just add it to your first post instead of making another one.

They wont mind at all. Quadruple check. PM a real game organizer like Kneif or Tino who run state-wide games on privately owned insured and enclosed fields. I've been hit with a stray BB before when I was walking my dog along a school yard because some kids were duking it out in the school woods with their rifles. It ain't fun, and I was in a blind fury for the rest of the day. You shoulda heard the words that came out of my mouth. EDIT: Kiki you beat me to it.

I'll echo what a1 said 110%.
Airsoft "Wars" give this sport an absolutely horrible name. They are unorganized, unsanctioned, unsafe events that are typically populated by kids (honestly, no offense is meant by that) who show blatant disregard for any and (possibly) all real rules of safety that this community abides by.
The stickies at the top of this board give you guidelines as to what you need to do if you'd like to schedule a sanctioned event, and well, your epic milli-post shows that you haven't even read the basic rules of this forum.
This sport gets a bad name when kids are running around in the woods shooting realistic-looking "assault" rifles at each other. Police get called, neighbors get agitated, and those of us who love this sport for what it is find ourselves on the receiving end of scrutiny from law enforcement, the media, and, well, mom-blogs.
I'll give you an example: my weapons are secured and covered very well on the fifteen foot walk from my apartment to my car on the way to a game. Still, neighbors see me in half-fatigues (BDU bottoms and combat boots) carrying a rucksack and they ask me if I'm some sort of extremist.
We live in a paranoid world.
I'm not a mod here, but for god's sake kid, don't ruin this sport for the rest of us by hosting backyard (I don't give a damn what the acreage is) "wars."
This thread has been reported.
EDIT: AAAAAAAAAand in the time it took me to type a reply, this thread has attracted enough attention.

[Sigh] Well i thought this was just the kind of site to host just events to have at your house, and i am not the only one hosting it, i have parents and a 21 year old brother who loves airsoft, but if i have [offended] you guys, well sorry but i am just trying to have a fun time, and no guys the cops wouldn't be called in the event that i did have this party and the neighbors that i know don't mind it the least. This isn't a professional Event or anything like you guys just said, just a get together of people to try to have fun shooting each other.

He said it all, RIGHT THERE^^ Love it! I'll reiterate the necessity to EDUCATE people about this sport. I didn't come into it when I was 14...I attended my first real event when I was 26. And I shared a field with 14 year olds who lit my old ass up. To the event planner: I know of a few friends who have fields in the area. Field insurance is expensive, but necessary. One of them has a CQB field that requires it (under penalty of losing the whole facility) and the other understands the consequences. If you invite random people from the internet and one of them twists their ankle, be prepared to feel the full wrath of the litigious-states-of-america. Please, friend. If you want to organize a game, so be it. Do it through the proper channels. But do NOT fuck up our sport by organizing "wars."

I'm locking this thread for the time being. After reading this it seems like a glorified backyard game. If you really want to host an actual event somewhere, PM Canto or any one of the other event hosts (people who have threads in the Events section) and find out what it takes. From what I can tell, you have no insurance, no real plan, and no idea what you're getting yourself into.
I don't know many people who have hosted events at 14. Give yourself a few years to actually get out to some real events before you try and dive right in.
