I'm looking for some sort of cap that fits inside the rear opening of a LE stock for an AR. Essentially the portion below in the picture, only as a seperate, removable cap or plug. I remember seeing an airsoft stock tube kit sold a long time ago that had exactly what I needed but I can't remember it for the life of me. It is essentially going to be used to keep dirt and debris out of the stock tube so it will most likely end up being glued in place to the stock itself. (If that affects the decision making) I'm aware of using the standard LE pad/covers as a solution as I already own one. I'm just looking for something that will be a bit more streamline. Any help would be appreciated!

Honestly, brother, I've never seen nor heard of one. You might look into getting a small piece of black PVC sheet and cut it to fit with a dremmel (and a liberal dose of patience), then glue that bad boy in there. If you do it right, you might even be able to replicate the diamond pattern texture to match.

I have two airsoft buffer tubes at home that have a different way of capping the end. One is held in place by the long screw that threads into the GB and the other has a small screw that goes into the bottom of the buffer tube. Sounds like you want this for a RS AR though so doubt they are compatible.

Zander, what he is looking for is something to cap the hole in the rear of the stock itself, not the buffer tube.

Scott, I suspect he's doing it to cover up the interior which houses a battery and wires, so gluing it in there won't be an option. Though the idea of dremeling is probably your best bet JD if you can't find a real plug.

Well I found these two tubes on RedWolf and I *think* they've got what I need. So at least I'm not going insane thinking I saw something but really didn't. www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=26526www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=21545I have two airsoft buffer tubes at home that have a different way of capping the end. Sounds like you want this for a RS AR though so doubt they are compatible. Would you happen to have a pic of the second setup you described Zander? I've seen other tubes like that where the end cap is held in by a grub screw going through the bottom near the end of the buffer tube. (If that's what you were describing) That would be a great solution since it would most likely hold up longer than glue would. As for the use, it just needs to fit into the end cap of a MilSpec AR stock. It won't be going on an AR-15 though.

Yup thats exactly what mine looks like. The other is just like what you described with the grub screw running the whole length.

Ah...the way the original post is worded says for the stock rather than for the buffer tube. I see where the confusion came from.
