Hmm, this makes me think now. An sounds better, but at the same time "a" sounds good too. And I'm in freaking AP english. Hopefully no tests on grammar anytime soon Anyways, the key for my last post about the target shooting is to show kids how bad the stock mk96 and other clones really are. I mean sure, maybe if I did another testing the mk96 could have slightly better results, maybe not. But just look at its terrible stats, even from close range. When younger kids look at this they will have two options. 1. Realize I need to work hard and get some cash together if I go down the sniper rifle route, while realizing important pieces, such as fps is not everything, etc. etc. 2. Bag it and go get an aeg. And I guess a third option. 3. Be stubborn, only scim through my posts, and buy the bolt action, and upgrade the spring to 600 fps for some uber long shots

It should be "an," not "a." The a/an rule is a rule based on sound, not spelling. You use "an" infront of a word or acronym that sounds like it starts with a vowel. That's why you often use "an" before a word starting with an "H" (and also before the "H" in that last example"). That's why you might say that you'll "be back in an hour." Try saying it with an "a" and you'll see how bad it sounds.

I doubt a noob will want to read this, because it's an emense wall of text, and it will de-motivate them to buy a cheaper Sniper rifle, so they will go in denial and buy one. Example: "dis d00d dusn't kno what hes talking about. It says dat da [insert clone name here] shoootsss @ 500 FPS and has a affective range of 250 ft on [insert cheap unreliable website here]. A gun is bettur if it has higher FPS. I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. wrong"

A1 is right about that denial thing though, and fuzzy I know what you mean (in that linked post) about the stock paintjobs. My brother was venturing into buying his first airsoft gun, which he decided he wanted one of those 100$ bolt action guns. I gave him the lecture of why he shouldn't make that mistake, and he listened to me, but he bought a 120$ UTG M14 with the god awful ACU paintjob. He doesn't play airsoft anymore (for the short time he did play), and I'm betting that gun was a contributing factor .
