Ugh... I never have any good pictures of me for anything. Not even school pictures. Next time I'll stalk whoever has a camera... yeah... that's not creepy... Anyway, great pics. The tan team's tank was a little unexpected, but it was fun to watch it shoot at its own team.

First, to the men from the Selfridge Air National Guard, thank you for your service to this great country. To those same men thank you for bringing those Humvees and for using them during the air soft event.
Thanks also goes out to the honest air soft player who found and turned in a wallet to the lost and found. The player who lost the wallet seemed very grateful to find his wallet completely intact.
I am only a multi time observer and non player to several air soft events but… The field was large, the layout and scenarios were well planned out. The role playing by the villagers was also very good. In the very beginning of the event the villagers played their role so well that I think the tan team was puzzled by them. The villager in the tower yelled down “get off my bridge”, the villagers threw rocks (safely) and yelled get out of my village” and the tan team pulled back confused. There was a shot between the tower and the tan team and the game was on. Some of the villagers were armed and returned fire only to retreat to another village and wait for supplies.
The green team escorted the humvee and supplies through the long winding roads while taking fire from the tan team. The humvee and supplies could only advance with a green team escort and no fire fight between the green and tan team. So there were many good battles between the tan and green team. At one point there was an epic humvee take over and humvee breach by a single tan team player.
A home made tank even showed up to add some fun to the event.
I did see that a lot of objectives were never picked up or missed. The wanted poster of select villagers was also a nice objective.
An on site Porta-John was nice, as this time I did not have to leave any presents in the woods. A concession stand with reasonable prices also meant that I did not have to leave or cook my own lunch. I also understand there was some free Kandahar Blitz tee shirts handed out. Nice job to all.

I do want to say thank you to all the people that came out to play. This was my first game at the outdoor field and I think a lot of people had fun. I enjoyed seeing some of the usual guys and a lot of new players. With The Phoenix guys we had 50 people and very little arguing if any. There will be many more games out at this field so keep your eyes open for new post.
P.s. Thanks to the Selfridge guys For coming out. Thanks to Honeydipper for taking pictures Thanks to the Phoenix and RFA guys for being villagers and helping direct the game play.

All I can say is my first time on a real field playing large scale force on force airsoft was a blast. Unfortunately my sniper barrel got crud-ed up really bad and I wasn't able to use it all that much but my KWA MP7 performed awesome and exceeded my expectations on its performance and FPS. I forgot to set the hop up and my shots were curving up a little but I was able to score some nice kills with it, but I need to get something so I can downgrade my fps a little. It was shooting fine for the outdoor field but I want to use it for CQB not backup Assault rifle but it pretty much mimics its RS counterpart because of its equivalent range even though its such a small gun. I had a blast and next time my whole airsoft team will be there and we will kick ass. My big brother also had his first experience of airsoft and he thoroughly enjoyed it too. It just sucks that the Tan team appointed our friend Vito as our team captain, that was a mistake his gun was a stock JG g36 stuck on semi only and he got hardly any kills and didn't know what the hell he was doing. Anyway this is a great place and the Humvees were awesome so I would like to thank the guys from Selfridge for making that happen. I just wish the tan team knew that was our tank rolling around on the field, I even shot at it and got shot by it. Despite some chaos in the beginning it was still fun I just need to were a bag in my shoes to waterproof my feet next time so I can run around in the river, running around in soggy boots is not that fun. And thanks to the people who were taking pictures Thats Vito I was Calling him Cobra Commander and he did't like it very much! I have nothing else to say

In a milsim event, the commander of a side should be focused on commanding, not shooting people. In a 50 man event he should still get some trigger time, but at an event like Blind Fury or Irene, the senior leaders very rarely get to be in the thick of it.

What Zorak said. If you're in a commander-type role. it should honestly be more like a strategy game at that point, then a game of guns with your buddies.

It's hard to lead a team when 75% of them don't have radios and the ones that do prefer to be on channels with their friends. The part-time commander works in an event focused on fun and not realism, partly because the objectives are pretty much secondary anyway. In an event like this you basically point at the direction of the objective and send the team. If you have a good team that will listen to the commander (or can hear him) your team can dominate. Just sayin'.

Yes, I was VERY grateful. Looking back, it was almost funny. I left during the lunch break to go to McDonald's and realized that I couldn't pay. Thankfully, a friend covered the cost and we returned to the field to find out that someone had return my wallet safe and sound. I just wanted to personally thank (as personal as a message can get) that person for returning it and for not taking anything out of it first. That would have ruined my day.

I'm just saying he did'nt do much commanding at all and is inexperienced as well. The Tan team should have picked a more veteran player thats all I'm saying.

Well, my take on the outdoor game was that it was a well organized and well planned game. I had a hell of a lot of fun with me and my other two buddies. (You may have seen us, Green team, I had the AK74 with real wood grips, friend had a crappy g36 and an AK borrowed from the guy we have dubbed trench coat man, the other a short CQB m4). The highlight of the game for me was probably the beginning jeep escort and the bridge game. A special thanks to everyone for being supportive and having good sportsmanship. There were a few... over dramatics in the crowd, but that's just how airsoft is.
* Special thanks to Jay for putting this event together, and helping our disorganized group out a bit. We really appreciated your help, and the free T-shirts were epic.
**Also, if Devil ever gets around here, can you send me the link to that GBB trigger...whatever fix. I've been trying for about a week to repair it to no avail.
