Hey guys, Could anyone tell me if the TSD SD700 (or M700) is worth the money? I did some research and plan on getting it and buying a AEG tightbore for it too. I still need some questions to be answered. Like could a CA APS Sniper spring could fit in it? And can the stock rifle shoot torso target at 180ft. almost every shot? And is the trigger system reliable?

The new version is apparently much better than the first version, so I'd definitely recommend the new one. Its compatible with some APS2 parts, so that a bonus. This may be help to you. airsoftsniper.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ca

I know but I am getting the old version from a friend. I was wondering if a APS 300% Spring would work well in the M24?

I know but I am getting the old version from a friend. I was wondering if a APS 300% Spring would work well in the M24? There were 3 versions prior to the "new" version, each of which had their own problems. In addition, we'd need to know what other upgrades are accommodating the "APS" 300% (which isn't a brand of spring, simply a weapon the spring works in). You can't just ask what the pros and cons are without elaborating and giving us more detail to work with.

If you are talking about the PDI 300% spring, that will be too much. 250% is perfect.
If you are talking about the CA 300% spring, that will be good, but its a shot lasting spring.
Lastly, Laylax labels their springs in Meters Per Second, so the 150 or 170 spring is about what you need. Sometimes the 170 spring requires a snip to be field legal.

Hey I got another question about the CA m24 New version. Is it really worth $270? And how accurate is it?

Depends on what you consider "worth it" for that price. It's all relative. And when tweaked, any gun is as good as the man firing it. Again, it's all relative.

$270? Check ASGI, Last time I checked they were selling it for $215.... Unless it's out of stock.

I don't know. The guy at Young's told me when they get into stock he is selling it for $270. But are they accurate up to 150ft?

150ft is nothing for a well-tuned rifle.

If you've seriously got your heart set on buying a sniper rifle, save your money. You can't spend $250 on a stock rifle and expect it to be the best sniper rifle ever. It just won't happen. You also can't just drop in a 250% spring and expect it to be the best ever. It won't, it will break. Talk to Livonia, he's probably the most experienced sniper in Michigan, and he's dumped a lot of money into his rifle.
I get the feeling that you're young and new to airsoft. If that's the case, I would highly recommend starting with an AEG before you decide that you want to be a sniper. It takes a good deal of money to properly build a sniper rifle, and it takes a lot of time, experience, and patience (among many other things) to be a good sniper. If you're thinking that you're going to be like a "sniper" in MW2 or something like that, don't.
Anyways, if you really want to get a sniper rifle, it's up to you. The CA m24 is a good platform to start with, as is the Maruzen L96 and the Tokyo Marui VSR.

OK thanks man. But I am not that Young and I already have an AEG. I was planning on getting a Ca M24 and putting a stronger spring in it and a tightbore barrel. Or I might get a JG Bar-10 and upgrade that.

aksniper,
Please don't repurpose threads like this. If there was some valuable information in this thread pertaining to the M24, it would not be unsearchable for future generations of forum goers. The idea is to keep all of these threads here as an archive of knowledge that's easily accessible to anybody who wants it. But if you go changing thread names and adding multiple topics to a single thread, much of that information gets washed out and lost.
