Right now my pouches consist of a double stacked M4 pouch (4 mags), a dump pouch and a Hydropak with some storage. I was going to get another M4 pouch, a shotgun ammo pouch, an admin pouch, and a utility/general storage pouch. Also, I'm not asking you guys to go shopping for me. I'm just looking for reccomendations and/or input. Feedback on this? www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=30015

You're going to regret paying for that quick release system when some joker pulls it for you right before the start of an op.

When's the last time you lifted a 17000 lb gun?

Well, if you actually have a shotgun then go ahead with the shell holder, otherwise ditch it. But what you have right now should last you just fine, all the extra shit is just that, extra. When you start adding a bunch of weight is when you really start figuring out what you can ditch

That thing looks like an impractical gear bomb if I do say so myself. You're going to regret paying for that quick release system when some joker pulls it for you right before the start of an op. Funny story about that, the day that we were shooting some qualification courses for Special Ops qual, our Battalion Commander came out and wanted to watch us shoot. Someone pulled my squad leaders just before, and we all had to stand there on line while he's trying to loop it all back through. In all actuality it's very good, and a must have for deploying Marines and Sailors, so that adds into the bonus of realism. But like Zorak said... It's a bad day when someone pulls it. Albeit it takes a good amount of force to pull one if it's properly secured.

Are you looking to be realistic, or whatever's available in ACU?

I'm looking to be realistic, but I don't want to spend a ton of money like that Pantac IOTV.

Also, dude if you're not getting the IOTV don't get ACU gear. Get something tan or the like. That way you can wear it with multiple camouflages and trust me tan and ACU looks like sex.

Troub, that's another thing; all my pouches are ACU and I don't want to buy all new pouches.

Yes the IBA is being phased out, that said it will be around for years to come. I’ve had people tell me that “I don’t like ACU but I like your load out.” and U.S. Army officers and enlisted ask me "what unit are you with?” I know no higher praises for an U.S. Army Grunt impersonation. I have an ACU IBA, and I love it. By the way I’m 6 foot even and 220lbs. My interceptor is a M/L and there is plenty of slack. And I personally think tan on ACU looks like crap. I know you asked for advice and I have given my advice, but at the end of the day get what you want. Do the research, develop an opinion on what you like and go for it.

Flak, you think that IBA will fit a 5"10" 145lb Guy? I have nothing else to say.

I would suggest neither of those vests you linked, I had the top vest (in multicam) and I absolutely hated it, the molle straps were falling off, I used it in two games, decided I wasn't going to have to worry about that shit, so, I ended up buying an eagle industries plate carrier, which was 165 dollars, it has gone up in price since I have gotten it www.skdtac.com/Eagle_Plate_Carrier_Cummerbund_p/eag.568.htm but it fits snug, looks good, and is light for a plate carrier that size.
