I'm looking into a new Plate Carrier so I can get more 'real estate'; more places to put pouches, etc. I've been looking at this IBA: www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_165&products_id=27563 I'm about 5'10" 150lbs. I'm not sure if this will fit me right. I'm basically looking for anything with MOLLE on the front, sides, and back. Any suggestions or feedback on the IBA would be great. ACU please.

Go with the IOTV. The army has also been testing a few plate carriers with cummerbunds for the past year or so, and they seem to be well on their way to adoption.

The IOTV is already in use. I was only lookin at the IBA because it's cheaper. I might consider it though.

Those Condor ones never look right either, so that'd be a bad choice for the IBA route.

And, no offense, but from your gallery posts, you'd drown in an IBA. I'd save up for something a bit more... fitting.

The IOTV looks better and better every time I see it.

It's not like an IBA wouldn't be milsim, just a little behind the times. Get a medium-sized with plates.

Psychosis, that's what I was going to do because I didn't know anyone makes an IOTV. Now that I see that one, I want it bad. I could have it by Black Anvil, but probably no sooner, seeing as I still need to snag a few pouches along with the $273 PC.

For a grunt impression all you really need is a few mag pouches (enough to carry at most 8 mags, I personally have always found 4-6 to be effecient), an IFAK, a hydro system probably, and maybe a grenade pouch or two. If you look at pictures of people in the IOTV that is usually all you see the basic grunt carrying. Carry the essentials and thats it, so at most you're looking at around $300. redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=28165redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=28166and add on as you see fit, but remember for an accurate loadout, keep it light. You gotta think most of the real world guys are climbing mountains or riding in vehicles and try to keep it to the basics as much as possible.

Seeing as how I've used the IBA/IOTV/new PC and I'm about 5'9-5'10 and 160...my sizes might help ya.
With the IBA, if you go that route, a Medium will fit about right for ya. Small would work too but it will cut a lot of real estate. IOTV, honestly, I have a small, it works alright but real estate is cut on the front. Medium may work fine since you can adjust the sides quite a bit. PC wise, go with a medium if you want to use that.
For basic load, 6 mags plus one in the rifle. IFAK (or similar med pouch). That's...pretty much it. Everything else is at your discretion. I personally, have a camelbak mounted to the back, Spec-Ops X-6 pouch, 1 frag pouch, Monkey Admin pouch, ATS dump pouch mounted the the front/sides. Some people don't bother with a camelbak and just keep water bottles on somewhere.
So really you don't need too much. It's all about what you're wanting to replicate.
If you got any more questions just throw 'em up and I'll try to give you an answer before I'm gone again.
