The movie HEAT set a gold standard for crime movies when it hit the big screen. It also featured one of the most famous shootouts in movie history, which you can see here;

Have you ever wanted to play out a scenario like that in airsoft, minus the civilians, of course?
FAH Presents: OP HEAT (MILSIM)
OP: HEAT will pit a small, but heavily-armed group of highly-skilled bank robbers against a horde of police bent on taking them down. When desperation and fully-automatic weapons clash with the iron hand of the law, the only question is... who's side are YOU on?
Game Information
Where: The K-zoo Crew Airhouse, 1809 Reed St. Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Five minutes north of I-94
When: 1PM to roughly 7 PM. Chrono and check in will begin at 12 noon, gameplay will begin at 1PM SHARP. If you are not there on time, you will not play the first game, period. This is going to be a very memorable event, and we will NOT hold up the gameplay of others for latecomers.
DATE: FEBRUARY 13.
Cost: $20 at the door.
Safety gear: FULL-FACE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. By this, we mean a full paintball or airsoft mask, or a throat gaiter or balacalava that stays covering the mouth at all times. Shemaghs and scarves/bandannas will not be permitted, as they can fall down. Believe me, the first time out there my shemagh fell down, and I caught one right in the tooth. A Shemagh worn as a full-face wrap WILL be permitted.
FPS limit: 350 with .2 gram BB's for all weapons.
Needless to say, ANSI-rated full-seal protective eyewear is a must for this game.
AGE LIMIT: This will be an 18+ event, unless you can be vouched for by an MIA member in good standing. No other exceptions will be made.
Weapons/ ammo limits: These will be discussed under each player section. There are universal weapon rules:
1. No loose BB's, bagged, bottled or otherwise. This is a game of fire and movement, and ammo conservation WILL be important.
2. MIDCAPS ONLY. No exceptions.
3. NO 8mm gas weapons, pyrotechnics, or smoke grenades.
4. M203 grenades, 6mm shotguns, and hand grenades (ie tornado) are acceptable.
Player sections:
Bank Robbers
Slots for the Bank Robbers will be open BY PM ONLY. I will be selective of who gets on here, as they will be packing a LOT of firepower in an enclosed space, I don't want a newer player lighting someone up badly because of inexperience.
Each Bank Robber has the following rules/restrictions:
1. May carry as many mags for a pistols, shotguns as they want.
2. May act as a medic to other Bank Robbers (30 second heal, patient may shoot from where he lays.) Each Bank Robber has 2 respawns from being medic'd before they are removed from that phase of the game.
3. May carry a maximum of three (3) midcap magazines for their rifle.
4. May use full auto in short bursts. This also applies to any side-arms, such as Mac-11's, TMP's etc.
5. If a Bank Robber is out of ammo, he may share a teammate's magazines. If he is completely out of ammo, he may continue to play in the current phase using only knife-kills. If he elects to do so, he may step out to the safe area to reload, but counts as DEAD for the rest of the current phase and may not re-enter.
6. If all the bank robbers are killed at the same time (IE they cannot medic each other while down), than the Police/RRF wins that phase.
Bank Robber Team Slots:
1. Scotty
2. Fatty
3. Rambobrown
4.
5.
6.
Police and Rapid Reaction Force rules
1. Will have unlimited lives per phase, no medics, however they will be using a timed respawn system.
2. May carry as many magazines for their pistols and shotguns as they want. May only carry ONE (1) midcap for their rifle. Rifles, handguns, and so on are restricted to semi-auto.
3. May leave the game phase as a "dead player" if they are out of ammo. They may reload their pistols/shotguns in the staging area, but may not reload their rifle or rifle magazine for the remainder of the phase. When they return, they must wait out a respawn period before re-entering the action.
Police/RRF Slots:
1. Lego
2. Carvin
3. Echelon
4. Sunshine
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
11.
12.

Uniforms:
Bank robbers will be dressed in business clothes, overcoats, etc.
Police will be wearing black, navy or khaki pants, with black, navy or khaki shirts.
As no-one will be carrying huge amounts of ammo, tac vests and other gear should be restricted.
Knee/elbow pads are recommended. It will be cold in the building, so we also recommend extra layers under player uniforms.
Uniforms are done deliberately "civilian" to reflect the nature of the action, and keep a strong visual theme for the game. Val Kilmer wasn't wearing IBA to rob that bank! ;-)
Pics will be up soon of a sample uniform setup.
