No music would be much better. This. Upload the video with original sound, please. If you really want to have music in it make a seperate one. Sorry if this comes across as bitchy, I just prefer to hear what is happening instead of a song that someone likes. Other than that, great footage! Can't wait to see more pics. Definently some of the best moments in airsoft I've ever had. I have nothing else to say @ 7:26 brad-"someones rapin' me"

Yeah, I knew someone would point that out. You see.... We had to have the music because in a lot of the footage the generator was blaring in the background. So you hear RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. You can also hear the people talking but it just sounded bad. So music you get. I am taking requests for the next soundtrack starting now.
Oh yeah, and I also wanted to say that I really enjoyed meeting the Pandacorn Team for the first time. Your team really plays well together. Have you done this sort of thing before.....?

Honestly I'd prefer the unedited hum to music. Joke request: Blacklodge - "Prequel to the Kult"
If it is absolutly not a possibility to have original sound then use some old war music that somewhat fits the film, as opposed to mediocre hard rock that not everyone enjoys.
Yes we have been to a few events before this and have gone through the whole "backyard airsoft" phase.

Thanks Mike. I will keep this in mind for next time. But really, it wasn't a hum, it was a thunderous RRRRRRRR. I was up top most of the time filming like right next to the generator. So it kind of ruined the soundtrack. For the record, if anyone wants to know what you missed: MEDIC!! Tat tat tat tat tat tat tat. MEDIC! (slightly louder this time with echo) Tat tat tat tat at

I'd use old war music during parts where all you could hear is the generator and have it fade to original for parts that are like the later half of the vid.
That or upload the completely raw unedited video and keep the one with music as the "official" vid while allowing people to view the other movie. That way there are options. Everybody wins, participation trophies for everyone. ;D

Really, the coolest part of the video with music was... that there was a fucking video. I'm sorry that I never grew up as a part of the Youtube Generation, where 5 minutes with ManEditor99 allows you to put your favorite Yellowcard tracks while splicing in tender bits of Hawthorne Heights during the times when people were hit.
Guys, this is airsoft. If you wanna argue tunes, go blog on twitter or some shit, I'm sure you all have accounts. Normally, I bitch at my guys for doing and posting pics up late, or videos, and that's giving them a week to work on it... This shit came up within 2 days, lay off a bit.
When you edit footage, maybe sometimes you have a song in your head, and it fits. Maybe you're trying to hustle out a video, because you're doing something which is cool (CQB in the winter?), and you put money and time and love into a building/project. Maybe you will stay afloat if enough people show up to the games. Maybe the only way you can get the word out is through vids and pics.
Who really cares if it's Kutless, System, or mariah fucking Carey. Plus, half of the peanut gallery wasn't even at the games. Whoops.
Now, before you all get medeval on me for stating the obvious, let me state thusly: 1. I don't work there 2. I have ideas, and suggestions that would make it a better place to play. None of these involve dropping in that new Taylor Swift (isn't she a porn star?) joint you heard on your sisters iTunes. 3. Yeah, you got me, I run games too.
There's not one thing in airsoft that couldn't do without improvement. When I ran Warlord II, over 130 people showed up, and I got maybe 50 "Dude, that was so sweet, but if...'S Some of the suggestions were just... not feasable. Some of them were great. If we're aguing over music, we need to reexamine why we're here in the first place. Personally, I didn't have a problem with it. That's just me. I've been playing longer than a lot of you, but not as long as some... and I tell ya, there's never been a chance to do vids and pics and stuff like there is right now.... If I ever dreamed that there could be a video of me playing when I first started, I'da shit my pants. You guys have no idea how lucky you are.
So, thanks for hosting CQB, for everyone that put that on. If everything was going right, I'd be running games in GR right now, but the cards haven't fallen that way yet... You see, we airsofters have a woman's period, but it lasts for 4 or 5 months... it's called winter/shitty weather. We spend all that time usually sniping at each other on the forums, tweaking our guns and gear, and waiting for summer, so we can show off our new DELTA FORZE/SEELZ/GRAW3 loadouts and 133t blastorz. Thank God we have this forum and a few nice places to play till the snow thaws.

A bit of advice: Rock/heavy/metal/whatever that's similar = way too overdone. It's like that 3-year span that every airsoft video used godsmack. Find a song that fits with your video, tell a story. And *never* hit the pause button. record all day, every minute. you never know what footage you'll get. I've learned this the hard way myself.

Kustom, thanks for the encouragement. We all need that sometimes. Glass, I will definitely keep that in mind in the future. Vids can be a bit polarizing.

It isn't an argument between which song, It's a discussion about not having any music in it at all. I wouldn't even want the music that I enjoy to be on it because when I'm watching the video I want it to bring back memories of airsoft and not of kutless/mariah/taylor(she'll do porn eventually ). Now I don't know a lot about videos, but wouldn't it take less time to get a vid up without any music/text? I didn't mean for this to turn into some sort of bitchfest and I still feel that it is still in the realms of discussion, so why a lecture was needed is beyond me. EDIT- going back a page I can sort of see what you mean. My opinion: raw vid with no music/text. End of my criticism towards the vid. The footage was very good! I really enjoyed the many quick games as opposed to one or two long games. It made for intense battles and a faster pace. The only "bad" thing was that my dumb ass forgot to check my batteries, which lead to me having to leave gameplay a few times to switch batteries. I really liked the "capture the leader" and "escort the hostage" games. The two respawns and then you're out rule that was applied for some of the games was also cool. It made you think about the situation more. In all it was my first CQB event and I loved every minute of it. The players were respectful, the mods were layed-back but not careless, and the games were intense. We will definently be back when possible!

Just wanted to say the video rocks, who cares about the music. I am just glade to be able to see myself play, as i am with Kustom on this, 10 years ago when I first played we rarely got pictures let alone video. Btw tino thanks for the compliment, I was the guy in multicam saturday. I used to be a C.O. but got out of airsoft, and the younger guys from team TMA are getting me back in, been playing again about 6 months now and am loving it. I will defiantly be back out for some more indoor games at your guys place.

I had a little multitasking time today, so I re-edited the video with music only on the title sequences. www.airsoftofkalamazoo.com/index.htmlThis is my Christmas gift to all you raw video lovers. Let me know what you think. As far a new pics, Tino was supposed to give me his camera tonight so I can upload them onto the website. Will likely have them up by tomorrow.

It's not that there should be no music, but the music just shouldn't be the biggest part of the video. The best footage can look horrible with no music, and conversely, the worst footage is still bad regardless of soundtrack. The trick is to find a balance, and let the music accent the footage.
