Red Brigade Hostage Re-enactment
This is a real historical re-enactment. We will be sticking as close as possible to the real turn of events.
History: The Red Brigade is an Italian paramilitary terrorist group which was primarily active during the Italian “Years of Lead” between 1970 and 1989. The Red Brigade is credited with 14,000 acts of violence in the first ten years of its existence and is widely considered to be one of the most “successful” terrorist organizations of all time.
1978: The Red Brigade uses stolen airline uniforms to ambush Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro and kill his 5 bodyguards. They hold him hostage for 54 days while seeking the release of certain political prisoners in exchange. After realizing the Italian government is refusing to negotiate, Brigade leader Mario Moretti shoots Moro in the chest 10 times and leaves his decaying body in the trunk of a car. He later claims that his murder of the Prime Minister “…was the ultimate expression of Marxist-Leninist revolutionary action.”
December 17, 1981: Four members of the Red Brigades, posing as plumbers, invaded the Verona apartment of US Army. Brigadier General James L Dozier, then NATO Deputy Chief of Staff at Southern European land forces was kidnapped and tormented by the Brigade. The red Brigade left his wife bound and chained in their apartment. He was held for 42 days.
January 28, 1982: The Italian Anti-Terrorist Team planned a rescue attempt and succeeded. Dozier was the first American general to be kidnapped by terrorists and the first foreigner kidnapped by the Red Brigades.
Objectives:
Red Brigades must continue to hold General James L Dozier and keep him from being rescued.
Italian Anti-Terrorist Team must infiltrate the Red Brigade base and rescue the General
Further objectives will depend on what team controls certain strategic positions during game play.

ANSI full seal goggles are required. Full face protection of some sorts is also required(balaclava, bandanna, etc). NO EXCEPTIONS
Location: The Airhouse. 1809 Reed St. Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Five minutes north of I-94
Game times:
Saturday December 19th. 12pm-5pm
Sunday December 20th. 4pm-9pm
Cost: $15 ($10 with your KZOO Crew card).

Doors will open at 11 a.m.on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. To insure that we get the most play time possible we suggest that you show up as early as possible. Chronographing will start 45 minutes before the game and. briefing will start at 15 minutes before the game..
Airhouse rules: 350 fps or under, NO EXCEPTIONS. Gun must be brought in a carrying case or bag. As long as it is not viewable to the public. Gun must be on safety, magazine removed and chamber must be emptied before entering the safe zone. Once again, NO EXCEPTIONS.
