I am a fan of spring snipers quiet accurate and hurt big toes if shot at feet. But allas in my youthfull stuper, i purchased a Wellfire G-22 sniper which is inacurate slow and rickity. Now i have learned that it is far better to have a gun that may not have been the cheapest but that is exactly why it should be loved even more.
Now to the point i am getting a new one in hopes of being a stealthy mother fucker in just at Op Shattered World. If i buy the maruzen i will buy it from Airsoft GI i trust them, They do not sell the TM Aws which i can only find at redwolf whom i have heard horror stories about. And to add to the maruzen it is about fifty dollars cheaper than the TM.
Ill get whatever you tell me too. I hate choices.

Neither, they are both way to new to start dropping cash into. These guns have another two years until they are in their prime. As far as upgrades and real durability goes, no one knows yet.
For the SR2 all you can really get are PDI cylinder sets with junk pistons, A PDI hopup chamber, an barrel caps.
For the L96 all you can get are cylinder sets with junk piston, and you can get a reinforced piston sear.
Buy a VSR10 or older APS2.

Or a CA M24.

Your best option for a first-time build is either a VSR10 or an APS2 (non-SR2) like Livonia already stated. If you go with either of those, upgrades are more plentiful and readily available. These two guns (along with the CA M24 after upgrading) are proven to be the best around in overall performance and longevity.
If you go with a CA M24 get ready to own a finicky gun that takes not only a lot of time but also a lot of cash to get it on par with a VSR or APS2. I don't want to discourage you, that's just what I've found from owning one for a couple years.

There isn't a replica more robust than the CA M24, but I feel the overall stock durability of an APS2 can't be beat. As Embed said, and from what Ive seen done with his, takes a lot of modification and conversion to make it function right. Most of his is actually converted to APS2 parts, I think everything besides the hopup system.
An APS2 Original Version "OR" has the longest stock barrel length of the Maruzen rifles, I believe it is very close to the CA M24 length.
Let me break it down the two rifles I have owned. VSR10 Gspec, and Maruzen Type 96. I'm not going to compare the CA M24 because once heavily modified its very similar to A Maruzen rifle.
VSR10- Original/Realshock/Gspec Pros: Hopup Design, available parts, Larger Bolt diameter. Cons: Trigger Sear Design, Piston Sear Design, Piston Catch Design, Thin Plastic Stock, Thin Outer Barrel, VERY Short internal Barrels (Almost M4 Length), Heavy Bolt Pull Once Upgraded.
APS- OR/SV/T96 Pros: Hudnreds Of Parts, Robust, Heavy Gauge Metals, Lengthy Barrels, Magazine Quality, Trigger Design, Light Bolt Pull. Cons: Magazine Catch, Lots Of Discontinued Parts, Long bolt pull, Plastic Trigger Housing.
