Gawd dangit, leave it to mink and newman to screw it up for everyone else. Hmp. If this doesn’t pull threw I dun think ill be going to any Mio trips, its really hard from me to get off a weekend at work and to have it canceled is just not worth the hassle. Ordered bbs and extra batteries today too, grrr *shakes fist at party poopers* Well if the game is still on I am there, ain’t nothing in the world gonna keep me from going less Hado or Ballista says its canceled.
Hell all we need is Me, Robo, Motown, Hado and Ballista and I bet we will still have the time of our lives. Or at least I would when sneaking around at night with my night vision (which came today) and shooting u 4 in the butts with my USP.

Robo, ill ride with ya in your truck if you still got room, I don’t really want to take my Nova up there, don’t know what kind of roads we will encounter (dirt) and after pouring 4 grand under the hood id get pretty frustrated if I smudged up the chrome guts. Ill pay 50% of gas monies too.
BTW: Has anyone been outside tonight? Here it’s storming and the roads are covered with frogs! I must have killed like 1000 frogs on my way home from work. Sheesh. Silly frogies.

Nowhere in this thread did I ever say I was 100% commited to attending this event; not my problem that you assumed I was. Oh, and don't try to blame me and Newman for the overall lack of interest in this event, which is what the problem seems to be. The whole idea for this event was only proposed to the entire board 2 weeks ago, which I guess must have been part of some diabolical plan of mine to insure fewer people would sign up.  |

yeah i think we would have an awesome time even with only 5 people. viking thats fine we can go in my truck. just let me know how you want to meet. our best bet would probably be to meet at the arbys by your house, and then we could drive back to your house to leave your car there.
hope everything works out hado, the games would just be much more personal, and thats fun.

Sorry guys, but as of now I'm gonna say I'm 75% sure I won't be making the historic trek up to Mio for the first annual "Hado's Alien Baby Lovefest & Airsoft Jamboree". I'll make a final decision as the date draws closer and some more concrete plans are ironed out.

I knew I should have just cancelled this a few days ago. It was pretty bad with the number of players we had going, but now with less it's probably not even worth the trip.

We went from everyone interested to lack of interest when you two dropped or “thinking of dropping out” and possible cancellation. I and a few others, obviously Motown and Robo to name a few have really been looking forward to this, and it would suck if it all gets canceled because two people don’t want to come. I’m not pointing fingers, just making observations. Now that I have gotten you ticked off Minkie-doddle I guess you will have to come to the event now and shoot me with your infinity; yes? Okay count Minky in.

I really do look forward to going, even with a smaller compliment of people, I feel it could still be a worthwhile, and successful trip.
I am almost in the same boat as viking, I too took the weekend off, and would be rather displeased if the energy, and crap I went through to get this weekend off was for naught.

Aye that’s a good idea Robo, I’m up for meeting at Arbys. Hado wont let us down, he will remember that time where I had canceled one of my games and he sat at home wishing he was playing airsoft all day even if it was just me and him shooting coke cans. Ya remember that Hado! Learn from your mistakes, let the game go on! Think of it as a … mm pre trial of what might come to be down the road.

I have work on Sunday.
I've been on vacation and missed work.
I have no money because of that, and about 500 bb's.
I'm really not interested in driving up to Mio (or driven) because I was on vacation for a couple days, and drove around a lot. Just kinda sick of being driven places right now.
I dunno, I never wanted anybody to drop out because of me, and I don't think anybody will...but another one of the reasons I didn't want to go was because so few people had expressed interest in the event. Guess I didn't help, heh.

It's my understanding that Hado wanted this event to have 20 or more players, in fact if you look at the very first post of this thread you'll see he has 20+ spots listed. Notice also how Hado said "I knew I should have just cancelled this a few days ago. ", meaning a few days before me and Newman both pulled out. That to me sounds like he was already thinking of calling it off due to lack of interest, and that was before me and Newman decided not to go. I guess you can keep telling yourself that 2 people ruined the event, but it's more like the 10+ other people that never signed up who caused the problems. Maybe you should direct your energy towards filling the 20 spots, instead of worrying about the 2 new empty ones. *edit* Oh, and I doubt I would be doing any shooting with the SVI anyway. I'm still screwing around with the hop-up on that damn thing. I'd be happy to shoot you with my Glock 19 though. ;D |

What ever, I am just pissed that we went from a “even though small player count game is still ON”
To a “Oh I should of canceled this two days ago blabber blab”
After you two announced your not or thinking of not coming.
For me this is frustrating, for one I have been looking forward to this. Two, if we don’t have the game I will be wasting 4 days of vacation time I could of used better when visiting family around Xmas time. Three I had a sense that some of the regulars around were interested as well but decided to tell us no go last minute.
But I shouldn’t worry, the game will go on… I know it.
Hado wouldn’t want to put Jack and Spect hopes down on being able to annihilate us in a cloud of bbs this weekend now would he? Hopefully this little lesson will teach us a little something in the future games

Viking, good grief man, you don't have to go off and make me feel guilty for wanting to cancel the event. I'm just trying to see what's best for all of us...and right now 9 people in one big ass 100 acre lot of woods just doesn't sound like too much fun for me.
I wanted at least 20 people to sign up, thought that would pretty much be the minimum for such a large area. I also wanted to use as much of the land as possible and not be limited to a small space like over at your place. With nine players I just don't think that'll be possible. All my scenario ideas would no longer work and my combat missions team idea would have been thrown out the window too just due to a lack of players.
I understand those of you who really did want to go to the event will be pissed off at me, but I still feel it's in our best interest to cancel. I just don't think the drive will be worth the poor gaming we'll have there. Don't count Mio out yet though, we'll have another game there this summer for sure, I'll plan it out so I can give at least a one month warning and planning time so that I can get as many people up there as possible.
As for money spent perparing for the event I'll be losing out big time also. AUG upgrades, Custom battery, Dutch camo setup, bb's..and probably tons I'm forgetting. I too was really looking forward to it, really though after thinking it over last night I'm deciding to cancel. I simply don't think it's worth the trip for 9 guys to hang around and wander through the woods.
So I guess that's it, Operation: Amishville is off.
Don't go blaming eachother, blame me..send hate mail, do whatever you want.
Since some of you took time off work maybe we can use it and have a smaller game at Vikings place, but my decision with Amishville still stands. Event Off.
Edit: All flames will be deleted, complaints and Viking Anger rage should be sent to me via PM.
