Now I know why Viking always has bizzare names for his little events. I can't think of anything good at all only crazy names come to mind. Amishville is what it is for now simply because that's really what it is out there. Black suits, horsies, beards and creepy stares....the whole lot. Details: ---------- When: July 13th-14th (Yes, it's a two day event) Where: Mio, Mi. (check mapquest for details and directions) This will be our first game up on our 100 acre lot of airsofty goodness which will determine if we'll ever be having more games up there. Which I hope we will! *crossing fingers* Like I said, the place is HUGE with 100 acres of pure forresty goodness at our disposal full of trails and clearings that'll make for some very intense moments. Since this will be a two day event those of you who are interested in attending will really need to stock up on enough gear and goodies to last you for two days. Hotels are nearby for those who wish to stay there overnight but camping out on the property will also be a possibility. Because of the large playing field I HIGHLY recommend people bring thier radios. Bah, even with those I'm sure someone will get lost. Which I guess will make for a nice search and rescue scenario. Right now what I really want to know is if there is interest in this event, so if you're serious about traveling up there for two days of airsoft goodness please let me know. I'd be interested. Would it be bad if I was only there for one of the two days? I'd LIKE to stay for two, I'm just not positive it's possible. It's about a 3 hour drive - which I don't consider to bad.
Depends on my work schedule (about to get hired, so I don't know what days I work yet).

Well that's why I'd like to make it a two day event. Since it'll be quite a drive for most of us I thought we might as well get a much gaming in as possible. However if you do feel like driving back home on the first day it's really up to you. Thanks for the interest so far, I'll start a roster soon. Motown, heehee@Amish house raids. I say instead of flashbangs we can use nudie mags.

speaking of amish...remember the MacGyver episode where he goes to the amish plantation. He wrecks his jeep, and asks the amish to help him fix it. Since when did amish know anything about cars.
Cant wait, the weekend after that I get to go on a 4 day trip with my Civil War History class To Sharpsburg, and Gettysburg.

Believe it or not....... COUNT ME IN TOO! ;D I've also got door prizes and will bring the tix to make it happen. These are courtesy of BigMack's friend at Maryland Airsoft (they were for ONB). Radios, radios..........did someone say radios?!. Spectre - fire up the Orion and the drones, I'll get the radio net ready to go. Is a wireless network with mini-cams OK ;D? I'll bring the GPS too if need be (seriously). Hey Hado, is anyone doing any advance scouting of this site? I'd be happy to help w/ that (actually would enjoy the hell out of it), as I'm only 1+ hours away. Just let me know with a few days advance notice. I can also pick up topo maps of the area (at least I think I can) if you can get me info on its location. As well, I could ferry some supplies if need be. Spectre, you can ride w/ me if you like. Although it may be a one-day, or 2 short day gig for me, you got shotgun (not the Benelli, nice try though).

The site has been scouted by both Ballista and Hado from my understandings, it’s their family’s land where they go huntin and all the red neck stuff like that, ya hear? As for radios those whom do not have a radio I am selling my old Motorola radio for 60 bucks, that’s a 40-dollar saving of what I bought it for at Radiocrap err shack.
Also the Semtex guys are starting up a convoy, anyone who wishes to make the trip with us contact me via PM. We are planning on renting a nice big van or if I get it my way taking my beastie 73 suburban (I mean what’s a trip if you don’t break down in the middle of no where?) but we will need a shadow vehicle to travel with us no matter which option we pick. It’s always good to have a second vehicle around.
