Decent game today. I liked the first half, but after lunch it went down hill. It was like a glorified 300 tthat would have been better as a 300 game. Did green team have any incentive to push out and capture our flag? I just felt that that game went quite poorly.
Outside of the heat and the flooded swamp, I still had a good time. Pictures!

Agreed. It was a pretty fun day, but the game after lunch was a little choppy. I've got a quite a few welts and soaked sweaty gear to remember the time.

The first half was great. No complaints. After lunch however, I had a rough time understanding why the positions weren't switched; Game 1, Green dominated the city, and because of that, pretty clearly won, so I assumed Tan would be put inside the city, but instead we ran pretty much the same game. And even then there was a miscommunication about the spawns. I had two different refs tell me two different spawn set ups.
Had a great time the first half, but just got frustrated with the last. Thanks for hosting SFOD.
Also: I have never been overkilled/full auto abused in all my years of airsoft. Without exaggeration.

I thought it didn't start off well at all, with Echo holed up in the city and absolutely no way for Foxtrot to push from their hillside without funneling down a narrow pass under fire from multiple tower gunmen. Of course, with Foxtrot stuck on the hill, there was even less of a chance of anyone from Echo getting through for a flag run. Stalemate from the start.
We had faction commanders, apparently, but I heard nothing from mine. There were plenty of private radio channels, without any team command channel, or squad breakdown. I know that's primary a milsim feature, but it could have been valuable if we'd actually had a faction leader.
My squad (the urban/civilian component of Foxtrot) covered for a successful flag run, which was dismissed because we were... out of bounds, although there were no boundary markers in the area.
Still had fun, sad to see that it got worse after lunch, which I had to miss.

I believe green team did capture the flag in the second game.
However it took about an hour and a half. I have nothing else to say.

I had a fun day despite the heat. Got the drop on some guys, while some got the drop on me. It would have been nice if the swamp wasn't so flooded but that is beyond our control.
SFOD, I accidently left a clear blue water bottle with a silver cap in the Gazebo. If you find it, can you hold on to it for me?

I was wondering how this went, as I was too busy dodging lightning the last 2 days at the golf course (job)
So the green team actually won once? Odd, I thought "we" usually get held off from the city by the tan team.

So the green team actually won once? Odd, I thought "we" usually get held off from the city by the tan team. I think that was mostly do to the fact that about 70% of the Tan team was people with sniper rifles, which do to the thick vegetation were rendered pretty useless. I'm glad I brought my M4 because that was a lot easier to shoot back with while standing in waist high water.

I felt that the tan snipers did a good job at being a massive pain in the ass. Every time I tried to look out of my window while defending the village I was zeroed in by a sniper. Not to mention they were responsible for all of my deaths.
My only complaint was that I didn't hear anyone call off the game after lunch. As a result I was crawling around the tan side of the field for about 15-20 minutes thinking I was sneaky as hell, only to find out that there was no one there. But I still had a good laugh about it. Overall it was good to see some familiar faces and have a great day of airsoft. Thanks SFOD.

Thanks SFOD for hosting the game today. I had a lot of fun despite the heat and humidity. Pretty much the same conclusion that Knife and King derived. First half I had a great time, second half I was really hoping that the teams would have switched sides to mix it up a bit, but putting ECHO's flag in the city (I think to help FOXTROT, seeing they were outnumbered after lunch) but they pretty much held most of the city and the eastern ridge and didn't need any help... I have nothing else to say
However after lunch I was pretty exhausted and despite having about 4 bottles of water on my chest rig and drinking all of them I was really exhausted from the heat and had no motivation or energy to really play so I pretty much didn't move.
The boundary lines on the top got a little confusing. ECHO was told by one ref that anything outside of the orange was out of bounds. Apparently FOXTROT was told otherwise and it did create quite some confusion. But that's ok. Had fun and that's all that matters and as always I'll be at whatever event SFOD has to offer.

Had a great time swimming! I ended up going through the swamp at the beginning of the game. It was waist deep so it was tons of fun. I also have to say great job on everyone calling their hits! ;D

Had some fun yesterday seeing everyone and getting to play. The rain totally ruined that game in my opinion since without it POURING down the night before it would have been much less "moist" I have nothing else to say, and less muddy down there. I think every airsoft game I've ever played save 4, it has either rained the day of the game or POURED the night before making the field uber muddy. Anywho, it was still pretty fun and I enjoyed myself. Pixorz.... s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn263/cqbr21/MI%20Game%20Pics%202009/SFOD%20War%20Games%20August%209/P.S.- Everyone check their scales, I for one lost 5 lbs yesterday with all the humidity and sprinting across the grass with Red Teams' flag after successfully pulling off the patented Asshat "Reach-Around"..I have nothing else to say

I have to say I had a blast. I loved that the city was flooded. The water allowed you to move and not make any noise. I was always in the water about wast deep. Picking people off. I don't care what anyone says, both sides have equally ability to take over the city. It just mattered if you wanted to get wet or not.

I didn't even make it into the city, and well, we just did the same thing as a rec game attack and defend the city, and a CTF game, but for extra money. Don't get me wrong, i had a blast, but it would be nice to change it up with a little story line and actual objectives for the extra money.

I get what your saying but at the same time what can you do with 20 dollars that is as much fun as a big airsoft game?
