Major Information Update:
Ok, I understand that a lot of people may be hesitant about this event or questioning how we are planning to pull this off. I will attempt to answer any possible questions, with a very detailed post... If I omit any information, please feel free to post your question and/or what I may have missed.
* I'm also posting this in the initial post of this thread.
Zombies
- We have plenty of zombies courtesy of the Western Michigan University Human's vs. Zombies (ZvH) organization. So, zombies will not be an issue.
- Zombies can only be killed by a 'three hit' rule system. Three seems to be the best number for this due to a few factors...
1) Most players fire in three round bursts.
2) Pump action shotguns often fire with three round bursts.
3) Head shots are not cool, not to mention not allowed.
- Zombies can 'kill/infect' a human by grabbing (with both hands) the victims torso.
- Zombies are the relatively intelligent kind (28 Days/Weeks Later, Dawn of the Dead); so they will run at you.
- When a zombie is killed, he/she will then pull out a kill rag and walk to his/her respawn point.
- The zombies are to remain in ambush for as long as possible in order to create a 'worst case scenario' for all the humans involved.
- With the way the Bangor field location is setup, is it very possible (infact probable) to have the humans pushed back to a position running a 360 degree 'hot' perimeter.
Humans
- Humans are allowed MilSim ammunition capacities; due to the fact that we don't want noobs blasting away with their five AK-47 (600 round high caps) on the field.
- When a human is killed; he will walk with a kill rag on, to the moderator tower where he will turn in his weapon to our moderator staff and be given a weapon tag.
- When a player needs his weapon back; the staff will reissue his weapon to him. All players can rest easy knowing that we will have staff members whose sole job it is to watch over, take in and/or reissue weapons to the prospective players.
- A human who is turned into a zombie must kill five (5) humans in order to become a human again.
- When a zombie is turned back into a human by killing his/her required five humans and when his weapon is reissued, he will walk to the human respawn point and then proceed back in from there.
- When a zombie gets within ten (10) feet of a player, melee rules will apply. It is possible to "restrain" a zombie being grabbing his/her hands long enough for another player to gain a knife kill on said individual.
Overall Rules
- This is a MilSim (Military Simulation) event. If you don't like the idea of someone grabbing your hands/arms; don't come. Plain and simple. This event and the other milsim games like it are not for the faint of heart, the very new player, or people with short tempers. We will tolerate none of that...
- Melee combat needs to be performed with common sense. We will have female zombies out of the field. Please, don't make us kick you out because you grabbed some college girls tit. Come on people...
- No rifle-butting is allowed under any circumstances.
- All players are required to have both a kill rag and full seal goggles (including zombies).
If I have left anything out, please say so.
