A MAP is designed to hold things, and a nice amount of it. When SHTF I would rather be able to remove it myself and not have to call my buddy over to me and say "HEY REMOVE 'XXX ITEM'." I've been asked to remove or sort things in a MAP on numerous occasions, and I always think that the person could have easily done it himself had he used a standalone pack. Ooh, ooh, that was mee!!!! I'm the partial reason why he hates MAP's!! Win!! I have nothing else to say. I'd say go for the Pantac/Eagle MAP if you want to carry a lot of items with you onto the field. I usually put some BB's and extra magazines in there if I'm playing a long game, but usually I just put a towel in there to wipe my head for when it's hot out. If your not going to carry a lot of stuff with you, standard hydration carrier with MOLLE on it will probably work fine for you. Then if you need a few more utility pouches you can attach them as you need them. Hahaha I actually thought he was talking about me. He took some stuff out of mine too. I have nothing else to say

So if i put stuff in the map i can get it out easy. That's fine because if I just got a molle hydro i couldnt put anything in it. If i had one the keys and possibly some food would go in it. It is kinda of a joke with me cause every where i go I have food. I personally think the maps look cool and Dahm offered to sell his pantac one to me so I will probably get that. Besides the fact you cant quickly get to stuff is there any other cons about a MAP? I love the ciras by the way it is amazing I think it looks cool with a map. One other question does the map reduce mobility? I was thinking it makes you wider so you might have trouble getting through tight spaces??

One other question does the map reduce mobility? I was thinking it makes you wider so you might have trouble getting through tight spaces?? I have nothing else to say fail...the MAP is NOT easy access. It's on your back, so unless you have really flexible arms, it's really hard to get inside the zippered pouches yourself. That's why you have to have somebody else do it for you. However, if you're just storing keys or a bag of bb's in there, you'll be fine. You can have a buddy put stuff in there for you before the game, or if you need bb's mid-game people are nice enough and they'll get them out for you. And no, it doesn't really reduce mobility. I mean, obviously, with 2 or 3 liters of water on your back it'll weigh you down a bit more, but the MAP itself won't at all. It's not wider than the CIRAS itself, so...no, you won't have any added trouble getting through tight spaces.

I mean't cant get it out easy. Thats why your store stuff like keys and food. Because you put them in before you have the vest on keys and stuff. Then they are taken out whe you are about to leave and your gear is mostly off anyways.
