Bumping this because I'm still getting events PM'ed to me to post, and then I get people asking me questions about the event.
If you want to PM an event mod to look over the wording of your event, fine. But if you actually want your event posted, make a thread in Event Planning and then I or someone else will move it.
Make sure you also use the proper event codes: REC, SCEN, MILSIM and HYBRID.
I will no longer post events directly PM'ed to me. I will only move posts from the Planning board to the Event board.

hi im planning an event for august 29th at noon. all rule required by MIA are going to be obeyed. we are going to be going over the rules as well. we have a field which is our back yards but is huge and we have approval to use them. heres the info......
Airsoft Tournament August 29th Time: 12 pm $2 a person Team Tournament* *(Max 6 person team) go to (removed for PERSEC) Tell all of your air soft buddies it’s going down, so don’t miss this awesome airsoft war…..you’ll regret it
Hello fellow air soft enthusiast, we the hosts, (removed for PERSEC), are proud to announce the first annual air soft tournament held in (removed for PERSEC). It’s going to be a fun day of shooting and games, so if you want to attend please call (removed for PERSEC) and ask for (removed for PERSEC), or if we don’t answer leave a message saying your name and number so we can call you back. Remember bring your own weapons, ammo, and eye protection. Products may be available to buy there if we can talk to a few local air soft sellers but don’t expect anything. You must bring all three to even start playing. To all worried parents you can stay and watch if you like but your child and you will be signing a waiver for safety purposes. Bring your gun and have some fun. Thanks! P.S. we will be going over MIA rules and you must have eye protection

Um... you did this about as wrong as it's possible to do this. For starters, nobody respectable in this sport calls events either "tournaments" or "wars". Second, learn when to use your shift key and various punctuation. Third, if you'd bother to read before posting, you'd see that there's a way to talk about the format of your event, and this isn't it.

OK, this exactly the post we don't need here.
Number one, the grammar and spelling is horrible. Number two, this shows a complete lack of any research done on the part of the poster, there are no real "tournaments" in airsoft, for many obvious reasons, it takes place in a back yard, there is a waiver to sign, but without legal/insurance backing, it means little to nothing.
In addition, posting phone numbers on the internet is never a good idea...
"elm court on Howell street" Of what freaking city???
Are you using springers, or can I show up with all my high-end AEG's and highspeed gear and clean up a bunch of kids in t-shirts?
Aaaaand... this is not even the thread to post this stuff in!!
I'm going to lock this thread for now, since it's for informaional purposes and not posting. I will refrain from issuing a warning for now, until wiser minds than mine bend their thougts to this mess.

unexpectedcompany, I redacted your post of any information that could have been used against you in an unkind matter. I can't guarantee that anyone who saw it previously didn't copy it down though. If you want to host games that's fine but please read our rules first.
I admit I partly left this thread unlocked in case something like this happened so we would have an example of how not to do it.
If you want advice on how to set up your event post, or how to set up a game, PM me or any of the people who actually host events on here, I know that CantoXII and kustom as well as Tex have lots of experience.
