Please take Black Talon off the roster as we will not be able to make it out there. Sorry for the late notice, and any inconvenience. Best of luck tomorrow guys. Cheers.

Question, this event runs at night as well, right? Is it OK if I come out around midnight or 2 am on Sunday morning and start playing, I have a wedding to go to on Saturday. ??

Does anyone know if there is going to be power or anyway to charge batteries, because I think our smart charger might have just taken a shit on us.

First of all I would like to start by saying that SFOD did a much better job running this game than they did with Gold Rush II, now to address some of the issues that people had with “Blackwater”.
SFOD informed me (Guardian aka Blackwaters CO) that we were to conduct ourselves however we wanted but we needed to keep a balance in the game. We called the city “restricted” in the beginning to make sure both teams could deposit their gold. We had a problem during Gold Rush II where one team was unable to get into the city to drop off their gold, so by surrounding it and calling it “restricted” we accomplished this also SFOD cleared the plan before the game. Now you folks could have gotten around that a couple of ways. First and most obvious you could have lit us up, there was nothing stopping you from doing so; second, and both teams did this eventually, you could have bought access; and finally you could have waited until we left to go on a mission and simply taken it (like the sutineze(sp) did when we went to destroy the coalitions radar dish).
Next we had to clear “free lance” stuff with the UN. So we really were not “all powerful” as some of you have stated. Also you were not shooting at us when you didn’t know whose side we were on. Stop us and ask (we may lie, but it is one way to find out)
As far as Knife killing the whole city, I am sorry Sutineze(sp) but we got a better deal from the coalition forces. I was rooting for you boys, but we had to be impartial and try to keep the game balanced (don’t worry it cost the greenies a lot of gold I have nothing else to say).
A lot of people have been complaining about my boy OFP and his 15 person bang kill. I spoke with him about it because I was not there. This is what he said “I was NOT 15’ away from the guys more like and arms length or two; there were 5-7 of them. They had formed a rouge group outside of the game called whitewater created to kill blackwater. When I heard this I knew I had to kill them, but they were to close to kill so I popped up and “bang” killed them all. I did not want to light them up with my AEG shooting 350fps. I don’t think it was appropriate nor do I appreciate being called a Fag by Tex over the incident, there is no reason to get personal it’s just a game and things can be worked out” –OFP As the Task Force: Iris Co I told him he did the correct thing. Tex and his boys should have just gone to re-spawn and counted their losses instead of tarnish our name. Grow up guys it’s just a game.
The next Issue I feel needs to be addressed is the insinuations that “Blackwater” were not calling our hits. First off Iris has made a show at every SFOD game and they have come to a few of our practices and they can tell you that we call our hits. If a player dose not call his/her hits then what it the point of playing it destroys the integrity of the game. I remind this to my team at every practice and we never been accused of it until now. I know we got into it with some kids on the hill above D-day about calling out hits. Well over half our team was back at the MASH re-spawning 4 of 12 were up there when you said we weren’t calling our hits. Those numbers tell me we were, and the distance there was too great to know if you were hitting us or not you would pop up fire 5 round and pop down so you don’t know if you hit us or not. We watched a few of you flinch at our shots and heard them hit BDU so we know we hit you guys. I have been playing this sport for 6 years now. I remember shooting the bowl with ACO (who hardly any of the new players have even heard of) I know my gun like the back of my hand and know if I hit or not. When you have my experience you can tell me I got hit by your round. My team is the same as me, some of them former and current military as well as police. Trust me when I say Iris calls their hits. Now was far as spyops is concerned (6 of blackwater) from what I saw they do as well. It’s just a game and we get unlimited re-spawns so it’s not that big a deal to run to the spawn point.
SFOD asked us to keep the game in check and try to stir some stuff up which I feel we did both. The fact that you folks did not take advantage of it and thus got bogged down is not “Blackwaters” fault.
Task Force: Iris was a major part in leading Caesar to victory at Op: Breedland in Wisconsin. Under the command of Op Doc we brought the glory home to Michigan (Wisconsin was pissed). The reason I bring this up is because at that Op if you did not call your hits you were out of there no ifs ands or buts about it you were gone and because that Op had Mercs too. Some of the people on here have called us Douche bags and dicks. That was merely “Role Playing” and we were saints compared to the guys at Breedland. We did not execute a whole Platoon or turn on a team for no reason what so ever. We have been to these out of state Ops and Blackwater is a great thing, it makes the game that much better by adding another element to it. The most intense moments at Breedland were dealing with the Mercs, it was awesome. My point is, don’t blame your team losing or the op sucking on Blackwater, you get out of something what you make of it and put into it. Try putting something into it next time.
Also and no offence to SFOD the field was too small for this Op, I loved the idea behind it but the field was just too darn small. (Not you fault either, just the way it is)
Also as far as the MASH in the Church was concerned sutanize(sp) if you died at a MASH unit you were dead no respawn. That was an oversight they had and Warpig cleared it up with Blackwater and Kreg (your Co).
Lastly Comms would have helped you guys know what side we were on. Everyone should bring out at least a basic communication system when they go to an event. This would have cleared up a lot of the confusion.
I hope this has cleared things up for people, if not just ask DON’T ASSUME!
If any Iris or Blackwater members have something to add please do so by identifying yourself as such.
Cheers,
Guardian 1st Lt – Task Force: Iris

Iris, sounds like blackwater wasn't as popular at this event as it was at Breedland. I really enjoyed the blackwater element that was written into the game. Do you think it was the "type of player" at this event or was it run different than at Breedland.
Now no one was ever shot point blank at Breedland but we had several aholes "acting" their roles. Most of us just laughed the whole time at them. They even cracked a smile or two.
Unfortunately you'll never have enough mature players for an event like this. Was this the first time something like this was done in Michigan? First times always have complaints. Maybe you guys can learn from the mistakes and make it much better for the next event. I hope you guys will be able to experience the fast paced game play as we did.
Radios should be a must for something like this. Hell, we all had radios and if I remember correctly we were working with blackwater and Iris never got the order to turn their base back over to them. Hell of a fire fight though!
Oh yeah, Iris was very professional in Wisconsin and all of the Michigan players got great reputations from that event. With that being said I've only seen Iris in action in Wisconsin but will tell you they are a class act!
