Chase, I agree 100%. Sadly, though, it MAY not happen. I know all of SFOD will probably jump in and play for most of Sunday, since we dont plan to get much trigger time on Saturday. But we'll see how it plays out. I am going to personally try and keep things going from Saturday. I'm sure corey will want to do the same. Everyone loved the whole "Gold Rush" idea. BD just expanded on it. so the pattenr should follow..In theory.
I know people will have a blast, and that's the most important thing. If people a good time, it doesnt matter how they did it. All that matters is that they had fun and went home with a smile, and it was b/c of some good times they had out at SFOD.

Mosin's grady party ended up being the same day, so that's kinda self explanitory as to why he's there and not here. Tex, I dunno. He said he wouldn't be able to make it. As for whay, you'd have to ask him.

Don't know the policy on this, it's not the clearest, figure it's better to ask at the source. Would hookah be allowed that night? nothing beats a bonfire and some hookah after airsoft. i'll delete the post if mods aren't ok with it.

As long as it's just tobacco in your hooka and you're 18, I have no problem with a post about it.

Hey Connors, Im gonna need to back out of this. Sorry for the short notice, but I have a funeral to go to Saturday. My Great Uncle Bill passed away from cancer last night, and my folks want me to go to his services. If anyone can get some good pics and video of the Op, Id greatly appreciate it. To the rest of you guys, have fun. I sure hate to miss this, I had a blast at the last Blood Dynasty even with a Heart Monitor on throughout the whole day.

Umm... NO. Had you read the first page, you would have seen this in large text. Mesh goggles are never allowed at any event I've seen posted with MIA RULES.

I have a quick question. The person I am bringing and myself will most likely be taking pictures and video while we are at this event. I just wanted to see if we had permission to do so and if there are any rules or requirements we need to follow?

I tend to act as a photographer at these games quite a bit, so I'll field this one. You don't need to do anything special. Full seal goggle rules still apply to you, and trust me, you will need them. I get shot way more as a photographer than I ever do as a player. Most of the people out there don't know how to ID a target before they pull the trigger, so in addition to shooting a lot of friendlies, they shoot a lot of non-combatants. Idiots see a what they think is a big fat target standing out in the open, so they shoot at you time and time again. They don't realize that you're a) Standing out in the open, and b) not calling hits because you're not in the game. So try to wear a something bright, preferably orange. Let everybody know ahead of time that you'll be out there taking pictures. Do your best to keep your camera protected with your hand while you move, and if you can, get behind cover while you shoot. When you come out from behind a bunker, wave your hand out first and come out with at least one hand up and people will be less likely to shoot you.
If you want good shots, you need to get right into the middle of the action. Don't be those photographers who takes all of their pictures from behind their subjects. Nobody wants to see their back. Get infront of your subjects without getting directly between them and their targets. Get close ups and group shots. Take as many pictures as your camera can hold. About 20% of them will be worthless, 70% will be acceptable, and if you're lucky, about 10% will turn out great and people will use them as their avatars for a month.

BigJ, the only rule you need to follow is goggles, as always. Your more than welcome to come and take as many pics and/or video as you want. We, well, really all of MIA, really appreciate pictures, so it's always a good thing to do.

I may have an extra bright yellow traffic vest if another "cameraman" needs one.
Only 2 days away, the excitement is building!! ;D
