First of all, let me start off with the positive, we had something like 23 or 24 players participate, thank you for the continued patronage guys. I heard no complaints about injuries or lost/stolen equipment. I don't think we ever managed to run a a zombie game, but the fake time bomb which was donated by a very generous player made for some excellent scenario games, thanks again for that, you sir are a genius!
Now a brief break from the pleasant discussion for something that left me really pissed off. Some idiot with a ponytail was smoking marijuana in the doorway that leads to the second floor.
Seriously, did you have any thought that some of us might notice what you were doing? Did you bother to think about the consequences of bringing a controlled substance to such a place....
[glow=red,2,300]Sir, you know who you are and so do we, you know what you did. We will have your photograph circulated to the staff. Do not return, this statement has been authorized by the owner of the facility, you are not welcome, the police will be notified and you will be prosecuted for trespassing if you return. I am not going into further detail other than to say that this stupid person brought his son with him and proceeded to get high during the time we went on break.
The MIA rules are fairly explicit, alcohol and illegal drug use are both forbidden at any event. You were smoking narcotics on private property possibly in the presence of children. This is unacceptable, if we see you or your son at the facility again we will call the local and or state police and follow through accordingly with prosecution.[/glow]
To anyone who was upset or offended by the incident this evening , please accept the sincere apologies of the Zombie Squad. We neither endorse nor tolerate any such reckless and illegal behavior. Such conduct never has and never will be allowed at the Winery or any other location where we host.
While we can not control the conduct of people who attend our events we can control who attends them and we will take every precaution to prevent this person or any like him from returning to disrupt events in the future While this person is not a member and does not represent our team in any way, I am still embarrassed by his conduct and lack of discretion this evening, so again, on behalf of my team and the staff of the winery, please accept our apologies for any upset and or inconvenience which that moron may have caused. And thank you to all players that came forward to us and spoke up about the incident, your help is always appreciated, thank you for helping to make a good event even better!
I think that starting next week I am going to ask for all persons attending to bring some form of photo I.D. and sign a new waiver. If you are between 14 and 18 years of age, your parent or guardian will be required to sign a waiver and provide their ID at the time of signing for verification. Any participant age 14 or under shall be subject to the approval of the staff on a case by case basis and no cause shall be required or given for denial in any case. Participants age 13 and under shall have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and shall be accompanied by a parent who must be present through out the entire evening. If the parent does not wish to participate, they will not be charged and may stand by to enjoy the show. Our team is family friendly and so parental support is essential for us to continue to offer quality games and events.
Now back to our previous discussion....
Reaper, it was great seeing you and your team out there, hope to see you again soon!
Silentdeath, you still suck good seeing you as well!
Bogger, good games as usual, I want to see your report card next week, your dad wants you to do well in school so I will support that initiative.
Murk, always a pleasure to play with you, you are absolutely scary with that M4 and pistol of yours
Boss-hog, it was nice meeting you, lets talk about that UMP45 that you are trying to sell.... I may be able to make you an offer on that.
Jimmy, JJ and Freeman, what can I say? The evening would not be the same without you guys!
Everyone else, I hope you enjoyed the evenings event and I hope to see you all again soon!
RK
