I have had my UTG L96 for a little over 2 years. I have tried other L96's. However, have come to enjoy the UTG L96. It shoots accurately well. I have upgraded the spring (I forgot which spring I dropped in). It's equipped with a 4x40 tactical scope. It has an FPS of 530. I do not wish to increase the FPS higher than 550.
I am looking into installing a tighter barrel and would like suggestions on which you feel would work well. I may possibly get a better hop-up as well.
I can hit up to 60 meters.
Thanks,

My apologize. That is the last time I allow my younger sibling to post for me, while I'm at work. Made me look like an idiot. The correction has been made. Again my apology to those who read the thread before I got home.

Wow I had this huge response, then when Knief moved it I couldn't post and lost everything I wrote. Couldn't go back and copy paste or anything... just gone...
Here's what I have to say in short.
Your poor use of english annoys me. Yes a Tightbore will help the performance of your gun. No, it shouldn't put it over 550 FPS. I'm not sure of what brand, it's a lot of preference. Other snipers know more than I do. I don't think you can hit 107 meters unless you're shooting at the broad side of a barn. Make sure you use high quality BBs after installation.

I too own a UTG L96 and wouldn't suggest anyone to purchase one. You'd be better off starting with a different platform and upgrading from there. Marushin makes some good stuff for a fair price. But, hypothetically, if you wanted to still make the gun appear stock until you unleashed the fury of over 500+ dollars worth of upgrades, that could be done.

I don't like exaggerators... and I know you aren't shooting 107meters with that rifle. I had to upgrade my rifle to 600fps, sink a ton of $ into it, and use .43g bb's to hit 100 yards consistently and accurately. It was at about $1,300 when I finished it. I know that the cheap pot metal sears in your UTG are not capable of holding much more than 400fps for long at all.
A tighter barrel will increase accuracy and fps, and likely a slight distance upgrade. But lets face it, you're full of it. Try being honest about your replica and you'll get a lot more help.

Please read the post again. Made an error by allowing my younger sibling to make the post for me.
My apology.

And the most pitiful lie you could conjure up, nice.
Any AEG tightbore and the PDI L96 hopup will work for you.

I've also heard of people upgrading the spring. But, then you'd HAVE to upgrade your trigger mech. That is, unless you love racking your bolt and hearing a sharp snapping sound. Laylax zero, I hear, tends to be worth the money. Then a new cylinder, piston, and guide to go with the bore and hopup would probably be the best you can do from there.

You have to get a PDI hopup or a different upgraded hop-up meant for a L96. The tight bore wont fit in the stock UTG one. You might want to get zero trigger for the L96 too. The cylinder really isn't that nessary to replace. But when you do install the hop-up with the L96, you might need to do a little dremeling to get the cylinder to allign correctly with it. That's what I had to do. (was getting a fps of like 400 when I realized my cylinder was jamming against the hopup and bending the screw that holds it in place) Dremeled a little notch in it and got a fps of 530 I believe I spent a total of $450 on my rifle and it shoots like a dream. I got a madbull tightbore barrel, PDI hopup, PDI piston, metal spring guide, zero trigger, and a 580 fps spring all into my UTG. Good luck with yours!
