The whole thing was a great experience thanks again shadow. Tan team awesome job, and thanks to the green team players that took some advice and instruction allowing us to be more competitive in the 2nd match.

From what I keep hearing the refs were busy sorting out disputes.... Who were the guys using dead team mates as shields?

I think Moped should post the video of me getting shot with the launcher. HAHA

If I'm not mistaken Moped wasn't getting video. He was taking a couple pictures. Most of which were to dark, and would be a waste of time to post. Secondly I heard/ seen no use of human shields. I think most kids knew it was common sense and STUPID to do that. Maybe by next game, I can get a helmet cam so we actually have something to watch.

I never saw anything like that either. I'm sorry I didn't catch it myself. I don't consider that acceptable at rec games. At some milsim game where the players have to lie down when hit, sure. But not a standing player at a rec game. I will cover that during the preliminary briefings next time.

I have nothing else to say, it's stupid and shouldn't need to be discussed. But it's understandable shadow that some kids need that brought to attention. At a Milsim game it shouldn't be allowed either because if its a Simulation, that'd be completely disrespectful to the "dead" body. Unless your hiding behind the lying body that is, but no carrying.

I must agree with generalhuxtable at a Milsim you would be kicked out for pulling a Gears of War 2 stunt like that unacceptable.
I wanted to come on here and comment about Green Teams ability to step it up a notch during game two. After game one we thought we could spit and take both objectives at once but that proved a failure so to win it I had to leave a small group of guys (Our SAW included) to keep pressure on the Deer Blind while the bulk of our force moved up and Hit the Corner post. It was pretty hard to be sure.
Thanks again Green for being excellent opponents, normally we have trouble with people on Green NOT calling their hits (mostly because they are new or loosing) but you guys hung in there and were very Honorable in calling your hits so thank you for a great game and keep it up. I thought that needed special attention because its rare to have little to no problems with players calling their hits.
And again thanks Shadow for hosting could not have done it w/o you!
Cheers,
Guardian / TFI

I also saw a huge amount of teamwork from the other members of the tan team. Unlike in most games where people want to be a one man army, most of the team worked together as a unit. That I think is what lead to the crushing victories they had.

Yes, green team may have been mainly new players but they were also some of the more honest players I've played with. The first game they probably didn't know what to expect which is why they got bum-rushed. But come second game, I was holding deer blind for quite a while till my battery died >_<!!! Then I booked it back through the woods all the while shooting the 8 shots I got out of my m9. I had at least 600 rounds on me, and of course my battery dies I don't run out of ammo. Anyways Thanks shadow and Great Game Guys.

That was definitely the most fun airsoft event I have ever been to. My friends (we were on green team btw) and I are forming a team and we were going to stick with green team so that it is more of a challenge. This is good for tan team, because we are honest as long as everyone else is (which they were for the most part), so it leads to a fun game. People actually followed Shadow's first rule he announced, "Number one, don't be a douche!". I hate games where you KNOW that you hit someone and they're like, no, I was definitely not hit.
I also liked the time that this event was at. Early evening to midnight was excellent because most of the things you may do during the day are usually over.
Nice job Shadow, I would definitely come back if you had another game at your house.

You know the first rule of combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.

Excellent event. I know I had a blast. I am very suprised at the honesty out there. I only saw one instance of some one not calling a hit but it was at such a range that I doubt the guy even noticed it. I had a ball. If it hadn't dropped in tempurature and not been the night before easter I would have stuck around a lot longer. Did that mercs and assassins game ever take off? or will that have to wait for next time? Thanks to the tan team for kicking our asses so bad first game. It really gave me a better feel of where not to be. We had a solid push going for a little bit there in the second game but we just didn't have enough guys involved to make it much further then half way out into the woods. Thanks shadow for hosting and I will definately drag my guys out next time.

I don't think the Mercs, and Assasin's game took off. I know a lot of people left due to cold weather. (all the refs took off). Honestly I don't think it would have been a good idea as a game type either. But Shadow great job as a first event. Just get some more hosting time in under your belt and it will make a GREAT field. Especially in summer.

I'm working on it. I'm really hoping some other people who know what to do will use the area and let me help so I can learn how to do it right. Eventually get into more milsim or scenario games.
