Ok guys here's whats going on. Bought a JG Bar-10 used, was slam firing, the seller though it was either the piston sear or piston. First i replaced the sear.... still would NOT cock back and hold. Then i bought a new piston, couldn't find a stock replacement so a Laylax bar10/vsr10 piston was installed. Much to my dismay its still not working. does ANYONE have any idea on what i could be?? trigger sear maybe? Any help would be appreciated, im by far no expert on this stuff.

Solution... replace it. I wouldn't put much money into a gun than can be had for dirt cheap. It's smarter to replace them.

He means it was slam firing. You can't slam fire it, its bolt action.. if you held the trigger it would not cock at all. Your solution would be a new trigger sear. Years ago when I had a Gspec my trigger sear broke, you could only tell from opening the trigger unit, have you done so to look? There should be a crack on the underside of it. I bought a new piston, and spring guide stopper thinking it was those, I already had an upgraded piston sear so it was pissing me off like how I'm sure you are. You will need this. www.airsoftgi.com/images/VSRtrigsear.jpg?osCsid=qqjma2vrqpv6fr76noo9vt83g3But I would suggest a complete trigger unit. Good thing you got all those other goodies though.
