Hi. Ive been looking around and people keep saying to not buy the well l96 or anything from well for that matter. I was wondering what (if anything) is wrong with well and which i should get.

Same things, UTG re-brands the WELL iirc.
As for what is wrong, it would be a MUCH shorter list to type out what is right with them.

What I mean is that a lot of people say that you should never buy anything from well because they break or something and I was wondering if that was true.

Well brand guns tend to be poorly made. The L96 in particular doesn't have a very high FPS to start out with, so it's practically useless as a sniper rifle unless you try to upgrade it. The body is filled with cement to give it extra weight. By the time you put enough good parts into it to make it shoot how you'd want, you'll end up with a whole different gun.
Basically, to emphasize what Kender said, the only GOOD thing about them is they are cheap. Everything else pretty much sucks.

If I had to decide between a WELL and a UTG I would get a Mauruzen(sp.)

And you revived a thread that has been dead for 5 months to say that?
