Hey Everyone, As most of you know already; I'm the primary planner behind Opertation Shattered World; taking place June 2010. I'm here because I'm in need of a couple peopele interested in doing some plot development. It isn't the plot overall, but some smaller micro management work that I'm having a hard time finding time to get to. If you are interested just post here or send me a PM. If you plan on attending the event, you are still welcome to help; this will not affect your "intel" or your experience... just give you the satisfaction of helping! Thanks in advance, Intimidator

I've written some short stories involving post-apocalyptic militias, and futuristic warfare and truthfully seeing them come to fruition as a wargame would be amazing. So PM me and we can throw some ideas together.

Shoot me a PM with what kind of stuff you're looking for. Euro-wars are not that hard to write up.

Creative writing is one of my hobbies. Though I dabble a little bit more in the theological and mythical creatures I have written up a couple of short little combat type deals. Shoot me off a PM and I'll let you know if I can help.

This idea has been claimed by a team. If you would like another scenario idea, I would be very honored if you would contact me with your request.

If needed i can get a lot of the 5 gallon jug of empty oil (for deep fryer) for prop.
Just let me know and i can start saving it. We go thru more than 10 jug per week.

As I said, I put a lot of thought into this and I'm glad at least one person is willing to go with it. Of course, I would be willing to help in any way to make this happen as well. If you need something, please contact me.
And for reference, a 5 gallon container (assuming it's full) of water would weigh 41.75lbs. 5*8.35=41.75 I think the heavier would be better for more realistic simulation, but that's up for debate if you want people to be able to carry more than one. (along with safety problems of people lifting heavy objects the wrong way)

The weight is adjustable by filling the needed amount of water to accomodate the weight.

But my question is, would you want people to be able to carry more than one at a time. Having them heavy enough so that only one may be carried at a time would make rapid movements more common and also possibly extend the game time length. Of course, only adding more containers and requiring more on a score to win would also have the same effect. Personally, I would like to see the containers heavy enough to make it difficult to return fire while carrying them. This should cause an increase in team communication and "having each other's back." Thoughts?

Great Ideas guys, but he is looking for help on a scenario that already exists. Look in the event planning for operation: shattered world. I like to drum capture though. I played a game with gas cans once that was pretty fun.
Any way further discussion on this particular topic should probably happen elsewhere unless of course intimidator decides to add this in as part of his scenario.

I've got another idea, this one for an airborne scenario coming shortly. . Modified
If this is in the wrong spot, could someone please move it. I don't know how. But I would like to continue sharing ideas on this subject.
How about this for a smaller game. It'd be like a spin on capture the flag. You have two teams, one defending and one attacking. The attacking team will be paratroopers and will be deployed in one area of the field. They will be given a hand drawn map of several objectives. They must find the objectives and return with a flag hidden in that objective to the point of the field in which they entered. The flags may be buried, concealed, or otherwise made difficult to access, but must be well marked so that they can be found. The map they are given has several flaws and excess non-existent objectives. The defending team will be given an accurate map of the field. The defending team doesn't know where and when the attacking team will advance so they can focus on one or more objective points to defend. The defending team has 30 minutes to start before the paratroopers may enter. The defending team will control all objectives until taken by the attacking team. Every time period (half hour or whatever) Each team receives the number of objectives they hold as reinforcements. Example: if the attacking team holds 3 flags, they get 3 additional re-reinforcements. Somewhere around 15 objectives total may be on the field. Some players on each team will have to start out not playing as to come in as reinforcements. Fallen players may come back into play as reinforcements as well. If a player is hit while carrying a flag, he must drop it where he was hit and return to his team's entry point and await to return as reinforcements. Others may then pick up this flag. Defending team members will have to return it to one of the objective points.
Victory conditions: (paratroopers) All objectives are captured and returned (defenders) all paratroopers are hit before the time of reinforcements.

Again, intimidator already has a scenario.
