East -VS- West is a funny idea. I kinda like that. Date: End of May, prwetty pleeze Hi-Caps: None, except in realistic support weapons. Uniforms: I say Woodland/Green/Black from Head to toe ---VS--- Tan Head to toe. Milsim Based: Doesn't need to be super hardcore Milsim, but you can have n00blets running amuck everywhere. One thing I say is: RADIOS REQUIRED!!!!!The game is all the way in May so theres plenty of time to "Buy Ahead", and it's now after Christmas so no one has any possible monetary excuses not to have one. Another thing that isn't game play based is that you will probably need to have a few Mega-Phones for the referees to belt out the current "Status" of the game. If everyone has radios, it may not be necessary, but the megaphones would be a nice addition since "Squads" of players are probably going to have their radios on one specific channel and won't be able to hear the Admin. You could always have one player in each "Squad" have their radio on the Ref/Admin. radio channel, but we all know it will never work out that way..

I say 1 high cap and that's all the field BBs you get, or mid/low caps, and field BBs.
Prepay for the events, STRICT camo requirements, no medics. I do like Relish's flag pole thing too...

This sounds good to me. I remember when SFOD had a game with raising the flag and it was pretty cool, you always had to send a patrol to make sure it wasn't recaptured or leave a guard detail to defend it. 1 hi-cap and field bb's sounds good or carry mids/lows and field bb's. But some guns don't have mids/low caps for it yet. I haven't been able to find any mids for the echo1 M14.

Why do you want short mags? There are plenty of options for regular sized mags, but I don't think anyone makes a short one as a standard or mid-cap in the size that comes with say, the AK Betas or a Dragunov.

This sounds sweet. I'm definitely down to play over at Hell's Survivors as I played paintball there a couple times a few years back and had a blast!
I think there should be strict camo requirements. Or at least a very clear distinction. Like woodland camo, or anything that has a green base vs tan, or desert camo. Ideally uniform colors on both sides would be best, but I just don't think it'll be that practical to obtain.
Once you start getting people with like woodland camo, and ACU on opposite teams it just starts getting real confusing. So yes, green vs tan (WC, ACU, MC vs DCU/3 color desert,)
As far as medics go I like Relish's idea. You can get hit/healed maximum of 2 times before having to walk back to a re-spawn. And there needs to be strict enforcement of that. And definitely designated and distinguished looking, as well as equal number of medics on each team. I played a Paintball game one time with medics and when people got shot I saw people that weren't designated as medics run and tap the killed players back in. Totally cheating. Pissed me off.
The whole objectives sound sweet. Def gotta get a round of capture the flag in there.
Mag cap requirements, doesn't matter to me. Either 1 high cap w field BB's only OR or multiple mid caps & Field BB's is fine too.
Hell, by the time this game happens I'll probably have a box mag for my TM P90 and would totally be down for using that... I have nothing else to say
I'm down for the whole milsim, but it doesn't have to be crazy hardcore milsim.
And yes RADIOS SHOULD BE A REQUIREMENT. I've got two camo Motorola's that I'm just dying to buy a head set/throat mike set for.
Definitely pre-planning. And there should be leadership/commanding positions.

Radio requirement is eh. I yell, or I find someone with a radio to pipe a message through.
And we need to divvy it up even, then let both teams select their own leaders, who can appoint a command staff as they see fit.

If it's going to be milsim, then the camo requirements should be strict as fuck, green vs. tan is too broad. If you can't afford woodland or 3-color desert, the two most widely available and affordable patterns in the US, you have no business showing up to a milsim game.
I would not make radios mandatory for everyone. Too many idiots don't know how to use theirs, and end up flooding the airwaves with static or stupid shit. Should be mandatory for commanders and event staff.

Agreed with Psy about the radios. I don't know how many games I've been to where some nooblet has to be told to turn off his VOX or the end call chirp. Each squad could have a radio operator, but if you stick together like you should, you wouldn't need more than that anyways.

Yeah, ok I agree now with you guys on the radios now. Maybe at least for squad leaders and commanders.
And yeah I agree with the camo now. I mean I have full woodland camo, and if I had to I could go and run out and grab desert camos, but maybe at least enfoce woodland camo vs three color desert camo. It is cheaper now.

Since I may actually go to this game, I'm just gonna have to agree with the people who think that squad leaders and commanders should be the ones with radios. I have a pair of $30 Motorola POSs, but I really don't know how to do anything with them other than just talk back and forth. I don't even really know how to turn off the end-call chirp.

Medics. - One heal, then your dead. Back to respawn. Uniforms. - I'm leaning towards woodland, tigerstripe vs, Desert 3 & 6 color. Objectives. Like I said keeping it simple, control various points through out the field. And of course, you guys should know me... There will be other objectives. Teams. - There will be only a East vs West, no third team, no mercs, etc. Only 2 teams. Radios - I don't think required, however highly recommended. Only comm 1 would be for game control and emegencies. Other freqs... your opinion here. Do we leave this open without assignments?? This would require teams to be organized, create maps with unique cordinates, etc. In-game money - I have thought about this before and used this at El Phamtamo's good-bye party. Every player would start with money and players/team would need to pool together to 'buy' advantages in the game. These advantages... airdrops, special transport, possible tank patrol, etc. Point system. - Oh yea, This gets a bit mil-sim. There would be officers, and squad leaders. Teams would not be able to re-spawn without a squad leader or a officer to lead the respawn. Oh, and I almost forgot...sql and officers are worth points! Solider - 1pt Squad Leader - 5pt Lt - 10pt Commander - 20pt General - 50pt etc. Thoughts? Also, is 12 hours long enough? Or should this be a 8 hour game with lunch break? (9 to 1pm - 2pm to 6pm) Age - depends on the involvement of whom we get. If we get US Military, this may be a 16wpc/18+ event.

Sky - if we implement a point system, maybe it'd be ideal to have kill cards like at Northern Wind (no medics, just five minute bleed out) - it was really cool to see that your kill count didn't matter, what mattered was catching spoils off of "dead" people.
