I am interested in picking up one of the Devgru frogman headsets w/ Icom 2-pin connector from Airsoft Extreme, but I an concerned as to whether or not it will work with my Midland GXT710 radio. The connector fitting page ( www.airsoftextreme.com/store/Radio%20Connector%20Fitting%20Information%20Jan-2006.pdf ) says it will fit Midland radios, but I am not sure if it will work with my specific radio. Also, I have heard that the PTTs for Icom radios may need to be re-wired in order for them to function with Midlands. Could someone help me out? Thanks.

I wouldn't get it due to the necessary re-wiring that you said you'd most likely have to do.
Re-wiring a headset is a really tedious, and sometimes impossible task. I would try buying a replica heaset with that same style and pin configuration to see if you radio works with it. I know that it's a different model headset, but odds are the connector setup will be the same.

I would go with a real deal Bowman Headset from NEV communications which they will wire for your specific radio. A little more money but one hell of a headset.

If you can afford it, there's nothing like the real thing.
Medex, unless someone happens to be using that same headset with your radio and says so here, you're going to have a hard time getting a 100% certain answer. You might be able to go to an event and ask if someone with an Icom setup will try their headset in your radio, though. If another headset wired for an Icom works in your radio, an Icom-wired Devgru should be fine.
