A rec game at The Alamo (Farmington CQB) on Saturday December 13th and Sunday December 14th.

Calling all South East Michigan Airsofters. (West siders welcome too). Come out and get some trigger time in without having to drive too far and without having to run around in the cold. After a long wait, It's time to get our CQB on.

Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Cost: $20.00
FPS: MIA standard CQB limit: 350 fps maximum, no exceptions.
Eye Protection: Full seal goggles are required. NO GOGGLES, NO SHOOTING, NO EXCEPTIONS. Mesh goggles are not allowed.

Briefing/ Check in: 8:30 AM
Trigger Time starting at: 9:00AM
Break for Lunch: Whenever people feel up for it but games will continue for those who stay.
Ending: 4:00 PM

There will be no camo requirements and ammo restrictions as it is a rec game.

Rules:
Must be 16 and over to attend (at least for this first event).
NO SHOOTING AT THE PROPS. This is a local business so show respect to their property.
No turning lights on and off unless told by the owner or game moderator.
No climbing on props or obstacles
Full face protection is highly recommended but not required. (It's just the smart thing to do)
The use of any 8mm Shot gun or 8mm Pistol is not allowed in this facility.
All guns will be chronographed with .20 bb's FPS limit is strictly restricted to 350FPS. Be sure to have your AEG's tuned down before this event.
Magazines out and safeties on in the safe zone.
All guns can not be exposed while outside the building. They must be in either in a box or a rifle case/bag.
All standard AEGs will be limited to semi-automatic only. A select few machine pistols (G18c, M93r, mp7, Mac 11, TMP, etc) shooting under 300 fps will be allowed to use full auto. If you have questions about which of these will be allowed to use full auto, PM me for further clarification.

The main action will take place in the haunted house area and there will be a three man shooting competition in the basement until the renovation construction is completed. Here's a video of what to expect: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDzWdDMBkL4



There will be a player cap set at 30 for each day so reserve your spot quickly because this will sell out. We'll have a waiting list running for roster slots that re-open early.

Failure to show up without notice to a game in which you have reserved will result in an indefinite ban from hellfish events, so just show up if you say you are and let us know at least 36 hours ahead of time if you can't.

PM Knief or M.S.-ARC for more details or to be placed on the roster. Please indicate which day you would like to attend. If you do not indicate a day, you will not be placed on the roster.

Also as a side note, the Hellfish have met with the owners and we have discussed and worked on resolving the main problems from the last CQB season and will continue to work on fixing any problems that may come up as well to make this place safe and enjoyable for all. We have also agreed with the owners to continue to improve the facility so that you will see actual changes to make this a great shoot-house. We already have major plans to completely renovate the basement.

These have to be signed and presented before playing in the facility. Prints will be provided there but to save time do them prior to attending. You will only need to do them once for this season and we will keep them in file.

Let us know when you get more of an idea. I don't want to start adding people to the list if they're not sure, just because roster slots will start filling up with people who might not show. You'll definitely get priority when you do know for sure, though.

What kind of improvements are we going to see over last year? $20 is pretty steep for a a simple rec game...

Either way, tack me down, I'll definately be there.

The improvements in the upstairs will be minimal, but address all of the major issues. The tarps in doorways will be taken down, the lights will be on, and a few choke points will be alleviated. Remember that one hallway that faced an open window? That window will be covered so it'll be possible to advance through that hallway. We're also going to cut the main hallway in half so the attackers can get in without having to be ducks in a shooting gallery.

But the big improvements are coming in the basement. Over the course of the winter, we're renovating the whole thing, using some existing framing, to create a real shoothouse built for airsoft (and that we can use all year round). It won't just be the aisles with cheap props that they had last year. We're building a full complex, rooms, entry ways, an "exterior," real cover, etc. We've got more room down there than it looks like with the current set up, and we're going to use every inch of it.

We had to pay $20 to play at the No Limits games, and we didn't get to see any of that money go back into the field. This place, much like with SFOD, you'll see improvements from game to game. Plus, you get a place that's heated and light in the winter, and some CQB, which is a rarity in Michigan. And lastly, you get a Hellfish game. From all of the AARs of our No Limits game, we have yet to put on a bad event. We're going to do our damnedest to keep that streak going while we adapt to CQB (not a hellfish's native environment, but we'll evolve).

Hey Knief or others that are running this event.

Could you make an exception for me on the "16 years and older" rule.

I'm less than 2 months from turning 16. I have a ride. I'll be shooting with a G&G mp5. Using midcaps. Full face mask and gear. I also won't back out at the last minute or anything stupid like that.

I've been looking forward to this first game for several months now and would really appreciate it if you could make an exception for me.

You won't regret it.
