Like I said, the rules (Medic, etc) were copied from CPX, for a CPX game.
Medics, gun hits, and stuff like that are up for the game organizer. What is important is the safety rules, such as google protection, engagement limits (however I'm going to stress different engagement limits with Hell Survivors...being winter and all).
Headshots. Like I said before. They don't want intentional headshots when the rest of the body is exposed.
Now, if soemone is peaking through a window and it's only their head is exposed. Yes it's allowed.

Allen, Do we have a certain amount of leeway when it comes to non-safety oriented rules? That is, almost no airsoft fields (at least in Michigan) count a gun hit as disabling the gun. And what if you want to set up your own medic system that works better for your game, rather than using the one that they "provide." We won't have to worry about pistol engagement stuff because pistols ain't working in this cold. I'm slinging my shottie on my back for a sidearm. Guys I spoke to David and he knows we all pretty much know each other and have played many times before together. The rules are there because of insurance and it is looking like if we prove airsoft is a money maker for him, then maybe we will have some summer games there as well. Like Allen said he took the rules from CPX because his insurance company insures CPX also. I know David, will let us play our own game and is looking to us to set the standards for airsoft. If we show David we all get along and are safe playing airsoft, we won't have any problems with anyone. Also Allen is running the game, the refs are there to enforce safety rules and make sure the release forms are signed and turned in. They will work with us on medic rules and what not. Let's just all have a bunch of fun and be safe, so we can go back!!

So wait. Gun hits do not disable the guns? Also, do we have medics?

"(17) (c) All snipers must have a spotter. If your spotter is killed, the sniper can only continue using his sidearm. "
Seriously? So, if you are running with a rifle shooting over 400, you can't fire it without a spotter? how far can the spotter leave from you? what designates a spotter? are they assigned or pre-determined? can i just say 'Ya, Johns my spotter. He's on the other side of the field."
I understand the desire to stick with the rules of the facility owner/operator, but does anyone else think this is a bit silly?

You will need to follow the rules as closely as you can but if your "Spotter" leaves you for a few minutes, I'm sure it's not like you are temporarily frozen and cannot do anything or fire.
I'm pretty sure that rule was in effect so you wouldn't get 40 little n00blets running around by themselves, with their 1337 UTG L96 shooting 900FPS and wearing their ghillie suits.

As much as it helps us bring the nooblets to a minimum, it really hurts people who don't run with a spotter. This is airsoft, and as much as a real world spotter is important, it's not nearly as vital in airsoft.

I'm guessing if you know how to snipe and actually take it seriously, then no one will give you a hard time about the spotter thing. (But thats just my guess )

The whole spotting thing may seem silly to some people but it's more realistic in all aspects.

I will restate my post again.
Medics, gun hits, and stuff like that are up for the game organizer. What is important is the safety rules, such as google protection, engagement limits (however I'm going to stress different engagement limits with Hell Survivors...being winter and all).
What part of this do we not understand?? Snipers, Medics, gun Hits and Varible rules that are up to the game organizer.
Do you need a sniper/spotter for this game? NO.
Are we playing with Medics? NO. (my decision for the game).
AEG Shooting over 400-410fps? Don't bring a hot gun.[/color]

Hey fella's I was just wondering what the chances are this may be cancelled?... I have heard it is way worse down south. Just wondering as I was planning on spending the night in Ann Arbor tonight and am curious if I should bother to make the trip?
