The field looks awesome! Hopefully we can get enough interest to get some summer games going as well. Depending upon weather, Trout x3-5 would make an appearance.

So wait, did I hear something about transport vehicles? If its not hardcore snowing in early December, I would definitely go, and would be able to bring at least 5 people. I am not sure about the transport vehicles I would assume they use those for their big 300-400 person paintball games. But if we get big enough. I think they might bring them in, the cost of those games are much higher for the vehicles rentals and drivers and such. When I call the owner in the morning, I will ask him about the vehicles and about our first event for the 20th of Dec. Watch the event thread for more info.

This looks beyond sweet! ;D This is a ways away for me tho, would be coming from G.R. And late December might not work due to everyone under the sun taking that time period off at work (leaving yours truly to hold down the fort), and having already signed up for Op FF in Lansing. But if plans for here become concrete I'd definitely be interested in doing what I could to come, with two more in tow.

Speshul Ops will make it. Only issue is that we need at least a week and a half for some of us to request it off work. If we can get that then expect to see us.

Also I have played here for tippmann world challenge, and Global conquest. The field is amazing and very large. A winter game would require heavy duty gear to keep warm. And if we have under 100 people then contact between opposing forces will be few and far between, unless the skirmish is set to specific areas of the field.

I've noticed a lot of people stating they WILL SHOW UP for a GAME.
That said. REMEMBER THIS! This is one of the few chances we get to show airsoft isn't a backyard sport.
If you say your going to be there...
BE THERE REGARDLESS OF WEATHER! AND...
Expect the following before you say you will show up... Expect the weather to be COLD AS FUCK! Expect the ground to be WET AS HELL! Expect your equipment to TAKE A SHIT! And Expect to RUN YOUR ASS OFF!
If we expect 100 people and only 20 show up, I highly doubt we will be invited back. Remember this is our chance! If we blow this don't bitch about lack of places to play.

Upon revision, I won't be at the first op. Need to get my Christmas goodies together first.

Sundays work better for our team of 5 (we all have it off), but with at least 2 weeks of notice (more preferably) we can try and get Saturday off. With that little disclaimer, we'll show. Cold and wet is no biggie, but space heaters at the staging area, or somewhere on the field would be advised.
I agree to a post-Christmas OP. That way we get all the goodies (fingers crossed)!

If there are no staging areas semi-enclosed we could pool together and rent one of those big tents that people use for open houses and such and run a couple heaters in it...

Use money from a pre-registration? I'm thinking keep the spawn points indoors if possible and put a space heater at both spawns. That huge fire at Rec: Bitchin' Cold was a huge plus for woodland.

OK guys I spoke to the owner today and here is what I was told: the 20th will be fine. $ 20.00 per person chrono at 8:00am game starts at 9 -12 Lunch 12-1 start game 1-4 6 total hours of play with and hour for lunch break. We would have access to the VIP lounge it's heated 20 X20 building and has electric for charging. They will plow out the driveway and parking lot ( remember they are closed ) they will provide ref's. Barrel condoms are required, under 16 yrs. full face mask required.
Now for the scary news: They are requiring a $400.00 deposit for us to have our game there ( to make sure it is worth their time to plow and provide REF's ( their ref's for insurance purposes).
That means either everyone pre registers and no walk on's day of game or we get 20 people to pre register. They want the deposit no later than 2 weeks from the game which would be Dec 6th. I sent him links to mia rules and this thread.
So my question is, Is there enough interested in playing here, now and maybe in the summer if we show them airsoft to be a good business move.
We need to as an airsoft community join together on this one, this would be the badass place to have major Op's and like I said after talking with the owner he is open to the idea. We just need to show him we are a valid market.
Please chime in I need to know what you guys want to do!!!

$400 deposit is equal 20 players.
Because this requires us to have 20 pre-paid players ,I would think it's only FAIR for everyone to pre-pay and NO WALK-ON's.
So the BIG Question is... Who's willing to pre-pay?
