Tali's Edit : I'm not the one hosting, Yuri Orlov is hosting, direct inquiries and such to him! Thanks!
Northern Michigan Airsoft Skirmish (Rec.)
Overview: MY friends and I are hosting an airsoft skirmish for Northern Michiganders and others willing to make the drive. The owner of AREA 51 PAintball has kindly allowed us to use their field. The 50 acre field is all woodsball and contains numerous manmade bunkers, trenches, sandpits, sandbag bunkers, heavy forested area, and 5 wood castles with turrets. It is probably the best field in all of Michigan! THIS IS A FREE/ NO charge event. The field can be divided into very fun Attack/Defend games including taking over a castle, team elimination games, CTF, and others.
TIME:: 12:00 afternoon- 6:30 P.M. People are free to come and go as they want but would be great if everyone arrived by 1:00 P.M.
Location: 3005 Westwood Rd., Mancelona, MI 49659 It is about 35-45 miles from Traverse City. Area 51 is about 5 miles from KALKASKA, MI. Area 51 Paintball is right on U.S. 131 heading to Kalkaska. Its quite an easy Drive for all of you living in the Charlevoix area. Just follow US 131 towards Kalkaska. ITs on the left hand side. THere are 2 great big signs that say AREA 51 and Paintball. Please Visit their website which contains directions to get there from where you are. AREA51PAINTBALL.COM
What to Bring: YOU ARE REQUIRED to bring your own guns, BB's, gas, etc. You must have airsoft approved eye protection as well. Bring backup stuff if you need it.
ALL AEG's are acceptable but can't exceed 420 FPS. SNipers are the only guns alllowed to exceed 420 FPS.
It should be a very fun and exciting event. Please tell other airsofters about it and passs the word on. THe more people the better. We have 8 confirmed so far (all of my friends) and are expecting more. THANKS.
If anything changes I will let all of you know

I'm new to the site but am an avid airsoft player in otsego county. I've looked at my schedule and I should be able to make it. For those of you coming from north of Mancelona, please note that there is Construction on US 131, so you may want to consider taking Old Alba Road until you hit the Mancelona area.

yes there is Jabe and all of you should take his advice. I was there last week and it looks like there almost done. Its not bad to take a detour anyways. Another helpful reminder: *Make sure your batteries are charged and any extra batteries are charged. You should also bring your charger to area 51 in case your battery dies. THey have power outlets *

Gah, I'll probably only need one as long as its fully charged. Also, I just checked my radios, and they seem to not accept a charge from the dock. I'm looking at radios, and I hate to ask for one, but I might need one if I'm not paired up with someone who has one.

i got two working sets and I get one extra large battery for sure. And if your single battery is fully charged you should have no problem. Bring your charger because you can charge it at the field just in case.

I really should consider acquiring a set of radios. For the time being, however, I'll rely on hand signals and whatnot.

Hand signals are good if your team knows them. last time I airsofted I didn't know hand signals and screwed my team over.
