The game was not in play, he was reachign to hang something from the tripod and he fell in, gun not held in any sort of ready position, at his side while he was walking. He fell in and the stock of the gun slammed into the ground, snapping the receiver.
The hole was deeper than 13 inches at that time, his pants were soaked past his knees, and there was no safety warning or anything about a hole in the middle of a CQB area. Dont try to pull the lake bed issue here, it was specifically mentioned that this whole was made for putting out campfires in emergencies.
The thing that really makes me mad about this issue is that the event organizers are trying to make it sound like it was all his fault and not theirs. It was basically unmarked, grass covering it, no netting or fence, no warning pre-game, and it was in the middle of a CQB envirnonment. His fault? I think not.
Organizers really need to step up and take responsibility instead of trying to put it all on the victim.

And one more small thing about that, several others and I took the liberty of wiping the paint off of the affected cars that were up there. So I'd kind of like a thank-you for that. Ok, I'm going to have to dissagree with this one, I'm not sure if you even wiped one car down, but I recall when Doc's car got a good spray and Blindshot got a direct hit no one cleaned their cars, or when Tex got hit with spray no one cleaned his, he doesn't sound like a kid in bringing this out. John brought it upon himself to ask Tex what the problems were and other things so he did such. Of course you would be 50-50, you were down playing airsoft. The people that were up there though are as follows; CJ whitewolf, Samantha Proctor, Jason D(dr. white) and CJ's kids, along with several others. Ask them if you want, I hold nothing against anyone for their opinion. And blindshot did start wiping his car off when he noticed it (approx. 1 min after the shot) and likewise with doc. I did point out and assist them with any spots they missed.

I was standing right next to Blindshot when that shot went off, Doc and them were so angry they didn't know what to do, and it wasn't until John offered windex and paper towel did Blindshot start cleaning his car, either way. I saw majority of the people cleaning their own cars, no thank you was nessicary. Only a swift punishment to the paintballers or the need for a tarp over that parking lot side.
EDIT: I agree with Maverick on this one. There really should have been something more, I know that accidents happen, but people should for sure try to prevent them. I'm not trying to say that they needed to be perfect, but a fair warning that there was a hole there or maybe just more cover over it would have been a plus. Also, I noticed that over half the bunkers had sticks as though they were 2x4's. Either way, I can't wait to just see what this field is like when it's all rebuilt bigger and better.

Because Doc almost got directly hit, if it wasn't for the car he would have taken the paintball to the neck, we noticed it right away. But none the less, something needs to be taken care of, so that in the future this doesn't happen. And thanks, it's glad to be back into the sport again.

The meassurements are precise to before, during, and after the game. No it isn't his fault, and we're not blaming him. And to damn bad dude but the lake issue is being brought up cuz it is a huge issue, and needs to be considered. Please don't make this a personal issue just because we kicked you off the team. And being soaked up to the knees? Ever heard of splash effect? That could explain it. Hmmmm. Get a fuckin brain.

I didnt know we were goign to stoop to that level...
For one, I left the team, I really dont want to be a part of a team where underage drinking, smoking, and fake IDs are allowed and utalizedin front of new 15 year old members. (Last year)
Secondly, I said dont bring up the lake issue here in this case because I know the hole was dug by you guys for "emergencies."
The splash effect could have happened, yes, but if that were the case it would not completely soak his pants in the same way that standing in stagnant water/piss would. I am not retarded, and please refrain from calling me stupid without even knowing me. The minds of some people these days...

Truthfully Mosin, I don't want to get in a big fight with ya cuz I enjoy airsofting with your company. I will say though that I appreciate your concern and opinions on the subject matter at hand. I will also be glad to say that there is a parking arrangment in the works as we speak/type, and Glen is getting the meassurements of the netting so that an extra layer of netting and a layer of tarp will be placed around the field. Once again I greatly appreciate the concern but these things do take time. -Jack (drdeath)

I will say that I did lose my mind a good several years ago and don't miss it so try anything stupid dude. If you don't have the courage to be a little illegal, then okay, I don't mind. I respect that. But you DID get kicked off the team and I DO know who you are and I know about you. If you want someone to blame for digging the hole. Grant did, in all his best interest. So there GFY

drdeath01 That last little tid bit was very uncalled for. I know your trying to stand up for the organizers and thats fine but you are taking this way to far. I have no problem with people speaking their minds, but when you call Tex immature then you go ahead and start saying things of this caliber that i dont even want to rewrite. Your being a hypocrite and getting way out of line. END OF STORY
Edit, sorry its a little late but you all write novels on here really fast.

I'm not looking to get into a fight, but you made it seem as though you worked tirelessly and you deserve a thank you, as what you posted. Truthfully that's probably the last thing, it was a fun game/op, yes. But just the amount of unorganisation in this event really made me think that just about anyone can run one so long as they have land. Also, I think it's BS that the paintballers play on the airsoft field, they need to stay off, because I don't like when I lean against a wall and get yellow or white paint in my ghillie suit. it's not fun to get out.
Either way, I'm not even sure who you are in real life. I'm sure I've met you and we were cool, but I'll agree with Maverick on this one with the hole, either way. All of this is getting fixed so this whole discussion was pretty much worthless.

I appreciate the concern.

I am missing an M4 mag, that I left in the village, that I forgot about, was in the bottom story, of the multi-story building, sitting on a piece of wood, about waist level. It is a hi-cap. Thanks ahead of time.

We are also pushing to keep the airsoft field just an "Airsoft" field. Although it is difficult when the land is owned be a paintball and airsoft company. I do apologize if I sounded like I worked tirelessly, I wasn't going for that. I appreciate your opinion.
