Damn Texas, Quoted For Truth.
I think that the paintball thing was the only thing that made me mad. I love that field and I love playing there, but for how unorganized it was, I'll agree with Doc and Tex and Oakey and numerous others that I won't be returning until I see pictures of things getting redone, my personal advice is to demolish that whole city and rebuild it with newer and stronger wood, and not sticks and nails.
The second day (Today) was decent in the aspect that we did some damage, I recall shooting Deacon Timm from quite a distance and he was honerable in calling it, which I honestly didn't expect because it was a good long shot and he was behind cover. But I think it was oxymoronic of that team to say no going on the ridge to me when I was only 2 feet above the stream on the ridge and then we take fire from the peninsula.
I was glad to have not taken that many rounds in my direction as well, so that was another plus. But overall Texas said it best. +1

I will say that I had some issues with the field too. I didn't spend enough time in the city to notice anything really bad with it. However, I think the American spawn point was in a horrible spot. When you are called for "spawn camping" when your basically anywhere on the American ridge, it becomes hard to enjoy playing for people who like to flank and intrude enemy territory. Basically as a Korean we couldn't use that ridge at all tactically because it was in range of the enemies spawn. That's a huge issue.
Other than that, there wasn't much John could do about the other issues. The whole atmosphere of the event became sour rather quickly. A lot of people not calling hits, a lot of people bitching and people shooting too close with hot guns. Also, people getting hit after being out. But I will say I didn't see many kill rags at all. The way I see it, if you don't have a kill rag and aren't smart enough to borrow or get one, then it's your own fucking fault. Get a damn kill rag and stop the bitching.
Lastly, Tex, sorry about the rape from behind. I tried to take it easy on you. Next time I'll use semi auto or the pistol. I was just deep in cover and stalking so I took the shots when I could. In hindsight, I could have lessened the shots and still had the same outcome. Hope you know I wasn't trying to cause any pain.
OH! Did want to ask this... I was alone on the top of the Korean ridge one time and the whole American team got pushed away from our spawn and charged the top of that ridge. I was there laying on the ground and took one guy out on the trail. Then a sniper in a full ghillie crawled up the ridge and I said "Sniper, you're too close, I don't want to engage." Whoever that was could have called me out. I would have taken the hit. However, I saw you long before I said that and was just not wanting to hit you with my AEG (over 400fps). I figured if I had gotten my pistol out I would have just been lit up by the rest of your team advancing on my position. I just wanted to avoid anyone getting hurt and I wasn't trying to pull a Rambo or not take a hit. Whoever it was, let me cuz I want to know who it was as well, because you were honorable as well and didn't take the shot and I think crawled away. Much props to that situation, I think we both handled it well.

Wow...
We are sorry for the poor condition of the event field for this event, all complaints will be taken into consideration and used to improve the field for future events.
There were a lot of issues stemming from someone using my account and modifying thread posts. I do apologize for this. For everyone information, I wasn't home yet. I didn't leave the field until about 4:00 PM... Needless to say, the situation has been taken care of.

Well here is my post on the event. I do not expect to have my post deleted if so I will just repost it. Here are the Pros/Cons of Operation Flash Fire 2
Pro:
1. I got to hang out with Team RAGE and a lot of other cool players that I have played with before.
2. Camp Fire chats with Livona and others was fun as well.
3. Thank you to CJ for the items and you know what I am talking about.
4. Being one of the medics and getting around 50 medic heals and around 10 kills with the p99 it was great.
Cons:
1. Players not calling hits, which happens in every event and rec game.
2. Unsafe field structures. I myself almost got stabbed in the shoulder by a nail, rustly one at that.
3. Large. deep, unmakred holes in the villiage. I watched Mavericks friend fall in that whole and break his AEG, Not cool at all.
4. Paintballers shooting at cars. This was a very big issue at the first FF that I was told was going to be taken care of, and it was not even mentioned, as there was nothing done to prevent this from happening again, as the field owner was made aware of this the first time it happened.
5. "Mine Fields", where very unsafe. These where nothing more than major trip hazzards. Along withe nails sticking out of them as well. Not a good idea.
6. Under age drinking, as far as i am concerned this is a big no no. This is a good way to get a lot of bad press for airsoft and see a lot of players and event organizers in a lot of trouble. Lets not have this happen again.
7. The unsafe shooting of people at night around the campfire. I was almost hit on 2 separate occassion's within a 5min time frame. One person acrossed from me almost got it in the face from this. I will not name the shooter as you know who you are.
This is the list of the Pros/Cons of this op. I myself will not be returning to this field untill several unsafe practices are changed on this field. With saying this, I will need to see the prof of these changes before I come to anymore events held at this field.

I do know what you're saying with the nails, Butterz got stabbed twice while in the 2-storey building with a rusty nail sticking out of a support beam made of a tree branch. I guess I can say FFI FTW.

Looks like the eye pro rules were a little lax. The one guy with the M16A2 looks like hes in field and no eye pro to be seen. Oakey, if you would of told me you had an M16A4 I would have stayed aroud longer to fondle the hell out of it. Oh, and this picture hurts my feelings. Someone tell me, whats wrong with this? Its cool that he converted (Im guessing) but, still, it hurts me.

PAINTBALL Fingers!!!!!!!! It happens though- i know a bunch of people who switched over from paintball that still use their middle finger in airsoft, BUT i dont say to much about because like you said Judge they converted to airsoft.

Livonia, if that was you, yeah, cool, whatever. No one got two rounds to the face, it was two separate people, so it wasn't anybody not calling their hits Both my guys have some nice open wounds. I'm just saying whoever took those shots, be it you or whoever, left a couple people bleeding. I know, it's airsoft, we expect to get hit, get welts, and maybe bleed a little. But when you can see blood spray, that's generally too close, whatever "engagement limits" we're working with. After I shot Canto with my guage, I stoped engaging targets at 25 feet and went out to 50 feet for my kills. It's not easy with a shotgun, and since I have standard engagement limits, I could have dumped a blast of 3 8mils into the nublin that came around my hiding spot's face, since that's all I could see. But I surrendered him instead. Still, I could have shot him with no repercussions, probably takin g out every tooth he had, and it would have been "legal". Would it have been right or fair? Nope.

Of course no one plans on shooting someone in the face or has intentions to. Airsoft guns including high power rifles aren't the most accurate things, sometimes people go for a body shot but their hopup is too high. Or when things get close in the village its a reaction to bring up the gun and shoot fast, usually a spray of bb's.
Sounds like your buddy needs to be a little more cautious when they call out "SNIPERS!"
Judge, there is a netting behind him that separates the safe zone, he is in the safe zone. I was keeping a lookout for poor eye protection, and it seems like ski goggles were the worst.

Ok ok, I see it now, my bad for not looking hard enough at the pic. I apologize. Thanks for pointing that out Livonia. My bad again.
