I'm hoping we can find a way to stay for both days, but as of now we'll only be open for the first day. Time will tell.

Put me and friend down for US side. I will be there Saturday for sure and most likely all day Sunday as well. As far as eye protection goes I have played with many groups with varying standards. Do you require fully sealed or are safety glasses with sidewall protection okay? I have both, but for preference to safety glasses just wanted your rules as this will be my first MOA event.

Snce when do you not allow safety glasses at the moa field. Because me and my friends have worn them at your field every time and i have also seen you wear them at your field. Then in your last post you stated full seal goggles are your best option. If what you said is true full seal goggles are your only option? right.

It is my understanding that this event is being run under MIA rules regarding safety issues, therefore: Article 3: Eye protection must be worn at all times, except in designated “safe” staging or preparation areas. Event organizers will inform the participants of such designated areas prior to the start of the event. It is recommended that players wear their eye protection at all times. Safety is the first priority.
• Eye protection must be of the completely sealed type (there must be contact with the eyewear frame and face, fully surrounding the eyes). Lenses must meet the minimum rating of ANSI Z87.1, MIL-V-43511C, or ASTM F 1776-01.*Edited-02/18/04, Frostee Eye protection must not be able to be brushed off, knocked off, or moved easily. It is strongly suggested that all eye protection be secured with a strong elastic strap/band (the type intended for such uses). A full mask that covers the entire face is optional, but the lenses must meet the aforementioned ANSI or ASTM specification and the area around the eyes must be sealed to the frame. Eye protection in question should be examined by the event organizers who may decide to perform a safety test before determining if the eye protection is suitable. It is highly recommended that any player wearing questionable eyewear be refused entry to the playing field. Safety is the first priority.

With this many people in such a small area, risk skyrockets. Please, wear fullseal or you will be asked to leave the playing area. I know I personally prefer shooter glasses, but for safties sake we're asking that all wear the fullseal.

First off they are not safety glass you would wear in shop class they are shooting glasses that meet the ANIS rating that is needed. full seal gogles are not the only option for eye protection. If you need me to bring what you have ofr eye protection and I will look them over to make sure they meet MOA standards for proper eye protection. OpDoc

I just want to stress that this event is in conjucition with the MIA safety rules but will follow all of the MOA safety rules. Again if you have a question about your eye protection let me know now and I will answer them for you. As of right now if you have more then one type of eye protection be sure to bring them to the event and I will look them over to let you know. Opdoc

Let me get this straight. Under MIA safety rules, eye protection must be full seal. Under MOA Rules, full seal is optional? This needs to be spelled out right now before I spend a tank of gas and 30 bucks to risk shooting out the eye of another player and risk a lawsuit. I'm quite sure this was all discussed before and I thought all were clear that some items would not be compromised. The waiver would only protect the owner(s) of the field, not the shooter. I realize that it's MOA's field/rules but I for one will not put myself at risk if that is how this is going to be handled. I would hate to miss this OP as it sounds like a great one but I will not participate in an event where safety is optional.

as this is getting to be a big issue This is now the rule for all. Full Seal eye protection is required for this event. If you have any question on this, feel free to pm me or Tex here on the forums. If you dont now have full seal eye protection MOA has some for rent or you can go to the local wal-mart or any other store such as that and pick up a paintball mask.
Rouge thank you for bringin this out.
