Awesome day guys. Honestly I think my favorite game was the sniper hunt. I always enjoy a bit of sneaking and patrolling to constant action. May have helped that me and my buddy snuck up behind a sniper and spotter and took them out before they even knew we were there. They complimented us on our sneakiness, who was that? We would have kept playing but another teammate reported over the radio that the game was over and I think there were still a couple in there. Oh well, still fun.
Knief - I thought about doing exactly what you suggested. For the green team to come up and around. However we would have had to roll right through their spawn point. I wasn't sure if that was cool or not.
Great job green team for taking the island and placing the C4!!

knief I think you are right we should have used more of the terrain. You kind of get tunnel vision when all you want to do is take out the sniper you tagged you before. Its makes me want to go on Airsoft GI tonight an get a 500 FPS sniper rifle real quick. a lot of fun today and I hope for repeat event there soon. Thanks

This was my very first OP, and I'm glad that Ghast told me about it. I woke up at 6am to be there on time. Everyone there was cool and it was a great atmosphere to be in.
I'm very much looking forward to the next one.

That might have been Embed and I, Kurt. Very well done on your guy's part, along with you coming behind us, we were completely surrounded, with what looked like the whole search party, very fun times.

I was super pissed that I had to work today, with 12 hours notice. I planned on coming out with my brand new MP5k to wage war! Nevertheless, did everyone dig the mortar missions?

I had a great time today. I was plagued with jammed gears in the morning but it all worked out later on. The sniper game was great in my opinion. That SR is just perfect for being hunted like that, rapid engagement and such. Great group of guys, can't wait for the next game. I'd like to thank whoever found my magazine for doing so, too!
Yeah Kurt, that was Oakey and I. You guys got me square in the back as I was turning around. Very, very sneaky.

I'm so bummed I had to miss this game. I had a friend in need the night before, and I'll stick behind helping good friends till 4AM as my alibi for missing this one. But, i will be out to the next one as soon as it arrives, with 4 people in toe. Knief, i sent you an email yesterday, if you haven't gotten it, PM me.
Glad to hear everyone had such a good time.

I thought the mortor and city games were good other than the respawns. I like the couple of guys who went swimming with their guns.

Well, everyone's been saying it. It was a great rec game. Great group of guys (and I believe two girls) that showed up today. Another good mix of new guys and veterans and overall it was pretty clean play throughout.
I'd say the only snag was that whole issue of the place opening at 10 am instead of 9 am as advertized. We'll try to get a hold of the owner and clear that up before the next event.

Yeah, Knief is correct. Originally Embed and Livonia were going to come out to Oakey's house and we were going to carpool there in one big rig. The only thing that ended up screwing me up yesterday was my goggles literally being completely misted on the inside and then my battery apparantly didn't want to work when I plugged it in, so I used a friend's battery, and it worked for well over half the game. I want to personally thank whoever it was that called it when I charged at him with my rubber fury. I was a good ten feet away and it could have been a lot worse, but he called a fair out seeing me standing there a good 6 feet short of him. NEED PICTURES NAO!!! (Oh yeah, and Livonia and I were still alive in the bush during that sniper game... Anyone find Mosin? )

Just wanted to say the same thing as everyone else, that is, I had an awesome time and it was a great group. The motor idea was cool and all the tall grass allowed for some extra hiding places. Lastly, kudos to whoever suicide rushed across the bridge while his team cheered in the no respawn city game.

I brought a couple of first timers I had to manage so the entire day was like a blur to me. The best and most memorable game was the first game on the first field, even though the more aggressive tan team beat us.
Both first timers were surprised how nice everyone was, considering this is a combat sport and are looking into getting into the sport more.
This doesn't have anything to do with the planning or field, but I personally was dead tired this game. I don't know if was just my situation or if it was the heat, but it seemed like a few people were also hit by exhaustion.
I also had some plans for longer style game, but forgot it in the car and seemed to run out of time. Having been on the field again I see we need something in the middle field, whether it be earthworks or unnatural. This is not something we can fix right away, but requires some deliberation.

No matter what happens I still take 79% credit for the trench or hills/berms idea if any are constructed. Please post info on the next game soon.
