Um, this one kind of snuck up on me with all the Memorial Day weekend distraction activities. Kind of forgot to rally the troops ahead of time.
So, nobody from MAC is coming with the possible exception of me.
Have we got a head count?

It is going down Saturday and Sunday. Sunday right now looks like the bigger turnout day.

Had a very good time, just wanted to thank the Black Umbrella team for inviting everyone out! High points- Team Toast and Black Umbrella are very good guys to airsoft with. Honesty and sportsmanship were very high. Field was good sized with lots of cover. It was great for movement. Still a couple open areas for long distance engagements. Most fighting was done around a couple oil storage facilities that made a decent realistic backdrop. Couple of ponds to manuever around. Fair number of trails to use for movement and ambush. Low Points- Safety Nazis would not like the safety glasses most the players were wearing... Mosquitos were out in full force. Not much you can do about that though. Slop on the Deet nice and thick! Suggestions for improvement- Some people are going to be put off by not following the MIA standard for Goggles and will not attend your games. If you don't mind losing those players it's all good, but if you want to increase the size of your games and decrease your liability it's something you should seriously consider. It also doesn't hurt to have the first few games centered around objectives. If you have a game objective and time limits it makes things move a little faster. Elimination and base defence have a tendency to turn into camp fests. Elimination is a nice simple ammo burning game for the end of the day, in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend everyone to make the drive up for the next one if you can. The Black Umbrella guys have a foundation to develop some quality airsofting!

Exactly the kind of response I was looking for from a person who attended a monthly. Thank you very much Savage, and all of your advice, I assure you, is taken into consideration. I do also agree with the MIA standard for goggles, and wouldnt mind enforcing it at all. We're glad to see that you enjoyed your day here. This is a new field, and as you saw, has lots of potential. We are just waiting for this crummy weather to die down so we can do some work on it. =) Hope to see you at another game.
