Ok, I'll run down the Q/A for what's not been answered yet. if I miss anything, let me know and I'll get back to ya. Now, I'll have to confirm some of this with Fox to get the 100% accurate say, but what I'm about to tell you is the standard for the questions at hand.
Camo: [rant]Is is really that hard....?? C'mon guys.. If yer gonna beg for stricter milsim, quit hagglin' the event hosters when they post more and more strict rules and camo requirements. [/end rant]
Desert- DESERT colors. Desert means things like 3/6-color, digital desert, tan/khaki, you get teh idea. Now, I'll say we'll allow black TOPS, simply b/c I run 3-color desert pants and a black underarmor for the contractor look, so we'd be a tad hypocritical to say no to that. Please don't show up in full black. Multicam is under desert for OUR field, but that may be differnet elsewhere.
Woodland- [glow=green,2,300]Green Colors[/glow], 'nuf said. NO green pants and a bronw/black/anythign not green top.
If you plan to take your BDU top off, you need to have the right color on underneath it, or we'll just tell you that you've got to either change camo or put the top back on. This is one of the things that turned GR II into the massive clusterfuck that it was. It just becomes far too confusing and makes things run that much less smooth.
I apologize for the harshness in that, but we have to be straightforward with it. We won't be pussy-footing around anymore with expceptions to one rule or another. What the posted rule says, or what an SFOD staff member says, is FINAL=END of discussion.
Full face protection. is REQUIRED for anyone under 16 unles they are accompanied by an adult that IS PLAYING with them. Thsi si not super strict either. It can be as simple as a balaclava/shemage and goggles, or a full afce mask. So long as your face is covered, it doesnt matter how you do it, you're good to go.
For engagments, since I believe our's are a tad different, in a more strict way:
<350fps, arms lngth engagement, FA
350-400, 20 foot, FA
401-500, 50 foot, PERMANENT semi auto form here on out
501-550, I believe we have a 75 foot for this one, but I need to confirm with Fox. We don't run across problems in this area often.
ANY and ALL CQB rules apply and are STRICTLY enforced in the city. Snipers can shoot in from out, or out from in, but no engaging a target in the city if you're in the city, regaurdless what spring you're using. If you have a sniping platform rifle, your'e classified as a sniper, no questions asked. If you choose to use the city, it would be very wise to carry a sidearm. We used to require everyone with hot rifles and the snipers to carry sidearms, but have been leaneant on it for some time. This leneancy can continue as long as people simply mind the engagment rules set forth. Currently, we have very, very few problems. Maybe once in a blue moon, and everything works out great.
