I have been looking at building another rifle soon and noticed how hard it is to find any Maruzen APS2 in stock anywhere.. I also notice the CA M24 is out of stock most everywhere also. I looked at WGC and notice it says they are both discontinued. Anyone else notice this/when did it happen?

Must have been pretty recently since Spartan just got a shipment of M24's in about 3 weeks ago. Guess they were losing too much money thanks to the clones.

Word from SI: They had to wait next to 3 months to get in a shipment from Japan. Their shipments come by boat then they have to get inspected by customs. Also there are a lot of the bigger retailers are pre-buying them from their next shipment as well. Just keep a eye out for them. I do know that, due to talking to SI, that they are discontinuing the M24 Civilian Model due to sales VS the Military version.

Actually, all M24 models have been discontinued, as well as all Maruzen APS2 models.
The TM VSR and the Maruzen L96 is all that is left of the real spring sniper rifles.

Airsoft Extreme is the only reatailer I have seen with the m24, but the APS is out of stock everywhere I have seen.

As I know this is a topic for discussion. I was on the phone with Joe form Spartan Imports and he told me that the CA M24 sniper series has not been discontinued. They just got a shipment of the M24's last week. As for the Maruzen APS rifle, I can not tell you for sure on that. I will do some research and see what I can find.
Just give it some time and you will see the M24 back in stock at all of your favorite On-line Airsoft Retailers.

^ Disappointing...
Not to mention the horrendous unavailability of aftermarket parts now a days.

If it where to accept M4 stocks, such as the Magpul PRS, and grips, such as a PSG-1 style one. It would look pretty hot.

No Oakey... there is no saving this one.... that rifle brings a tear to my eye.
But on the note of aftermarket parts, if it can accept APS2 parts, which is probably will, it will be OK.

While it looks kinda ugly/unreal it does look easy, light and comfortable for field use.

I like it except for 2 things; The M4 stock which I'll change out for the PSG-1 stock, and the receiver which looks haggard, and like a shotgun's upper.

I'm most intrigued by what appears to be an integral ambidextrous bolt handle. Finally, some lefty-love!
