I stumbled apon this earlier, and found it to be the best upgrade site I have ever seen. I searched on here and it seems nobody else has ever posted about it, or maybe my search wasn't extensive enough. Regardless, if you need some help upgrading or want to learn about other mechboxes other than V2/3, check this site out. www.mechbox.com

Ya great find!
I stumbled into this website a couple weeks ago, thinking gearboxes wear to finicky to mess with....
Ive got all my upgrade parts now and Ill have them installed by the weekend. Im pretty much doing what they show in the V3 gearbox video, what an incredible guide.
And take a moment to watch the gun review by Austiran Airsoft TV. Thats hilarious!
Oesterriech ober alles!

Mad props for finding this Jump.
Question though, are all TM M4's Mechboxes Version 2? And how risky would you say upgrading your own guns be? Ive watched this upgrading video near 15 times now and I think i wanna try it myself.

All AR series are V2 man, except for the ICS split gearbox and Systema PTW.
Risk is all dependent on what you have in mind for an upgrade. The main key is not to lose anything. Work in an area that is clean, and you are able to spot small screws or springs if you drop them. Nothing like losing the anti-reversal spring or tappet spring. 10 cent part will prevent the whole mechbox from working. Just BE CAREFUL.

Will keep that all in mind. I was thinking of getting one of my guns to around 350-370 Fps. Now i dont know a lot about which internals increase the fps how much. So was wondering what I should get in terms of getting my gun from stock to that.

A guarder FTK is your best bet, they run about 110 bucks. A cheaper alternative, but will put some stress on your gears is the Hurricane kits, which are about 60-70.

I upgraded my V3 mech box last night. M100 spring, bushings and a new piston o ring. Im looking to get about 350fps out of it all
I watched that video 3 or 4 times in as many weeks.
Laid out the parts on the counter, grabbed a couple screw drivers, lubricants and paper towel.
Less than hour later it all was done! Excellent guide. 4 stars all the way!
Hardest part was putting the cover back on and getting the main spring and anti reversal latch to not fly out. Takes 3 1/2 hands and some patience.
If youre mechanically inclined, its much easier than changing your brakes.
If your not mechanical, NEVER TOUCH YOUR MECHBOX
Great website
