www.botac.com/Does anyone out there have any experience with Botach Tactical? I was going to purchase gear from Lightfighter as I like their site and I have gotten some help via email on making gear decisions from them. However, they have NONE of the eight (8) things I wanted to order in stock, nor can they tell me how long it may take to get them in. After reading another thread about backordered items, I decided I needed to find someone who actually had what I was looking for. So I am looking for another source for these "goodies" Botach has several of the items I am looking for and I just wanted to check and see if anyone out there had any good/bad things to say about them. They got me my Peltor Tac6's pretty quick, but I know frostee had an absolutely horrible experience with them.

I consider Botach to be merely a mediocre retailer WHEN they have what you desire in stock, let alone when they don't.
I'd recommend for larger purchases, to consider any other retailer other than botach. The two times I tried to make bulk orders, the didn't have anything in stock, took me for a ride when I choose to cancel the entire order, and a helluva time to get them to refund my payment.

I've only ordered from them once (SureFire Nitrolon G2's were on sale), but I got prompt service. No complaints.

I know several people (Frostee, Hado) who have had bad experiences with botach... I've ordered from them 4 times, never had a problem.
Everything from BDUs, to flashlights to weapon accressories.
I'd order from them again.

Eh, they often have some really great deals, but you never really know if the items on sale are actually in stock since trying to get in touch with someone over the phone or via email seems like an impossible task. My orders so far: 1: wrong item sent. 2: two month wait for a BH item. 3: three 1/2 month wait for gloves. ZERO replies to emails/phonecalls 4: item came in a couple days. So, its really a mixed bag I guess. The prices are often cheaper than what you'd find elsewhere, but honestly I'd rather pay a little extra and get some real customer service.

Well I've gone and done it. I placed an order.
I gave them a call today to check what items were in stock. I got right through on the first try was connected without waiting to someone who could help me out.
The employee I was talking to indicated that they were having some computer problems, but I could give him a list of the items I wanted and he could call me back to let me know if they were in stock. "Yeah right!" I thought to myself. But, I went through the exercise, gave him my list and my phone number.
What do you know, 30 minutes later he calls me back and tells me what is and is not in stock! Well, at that point I decided I HAD to give them a try and ordered the items that they had in stock.
I've got an email confirmation of my order. I'll let you know how the rest of the transaction goes.

yea my dad had crappy service with them, a month to get some gloves and they were even the right ones, cheaper crappier ones no doubt... i duont know about them, ill stick with CTD

Well... The order has shipped The packing order they emailed me is correct Now I just have to sit back and wait for the box so I can see if they did good.
They shipped it using UPS and emailed me the tracking number. It is being shipped ground, so I've got a bit of a wait.
Probably get back to you all next Friday with the result.

Botach Review ( www.botach.com/) I order three items from Botach: - Alta Tactical Elbow and Knee Pad Set
- Hatch Operator Gloves
- Hatch Nomes Hood
I called twice before ordering (I had changed my list of items a bit from one call to the next) to check if the items I was interested in were in stock. Each time I called I had no trouble getting through and was connected to someone in sales without waiting. The results of the second call I placed are related in a previous message in this thread. After the return call, I found out that the three items above were in stock, but the Blackhawk STRIKE pouches I wanted were not. I placed my order through their website for the instock items. Upon placing my order I received an order confirmation email. About four hours later I received another email showing that all the items I ordered were in stock and providing me a link to a webpage with my order details and status. Approximately 24 hrs after the second email I received a third email indicating that my order had shipped. The UPS tracking number was provided in the email and the webpage for my order had a link to show the UPS package tracking results. I had my items shipped UPS ground to save on shipping cost. Botach is located in LA, California. They shipped the items in a UPS "Large Box" (fairly long and wide, but only a few inches high). There wasn't any "fill" in the box, but the items I ordered didn't need any. Other than the three items I ordered, the only other thing in the box was a copy of my order. The only thing I could hope for would be some kind of catalog. Final Score: A+ I would order from Botach again! I know that others have had bad experiences, but my experience was really great. I had no trouble getting them on the phone (they even called me back on the second call due to their computer troubles). They sent all the email confirmations and updates I could possibly ask for. Shipping prices were reasonable. The prices on the gloves and Alta pads were unbeatable. Based on other's experiences, I HIGHLY recommend calling them to confirm they have the item in stock. Mite

I recieved my order via UPS on Weds. late Thursday (10 PM) i placed an order for:
Hatch Shorty operator Gloves (Black) Alta Knee pad/Elbow pad combo (Green) and a Giles G3/HK91 3 point sling.
Friday morning, I recieved an E-mail.. .(they had called later Friday too.) notifying me that they were out of Green knee pads... So i just asked them to substitute some black ones.
Monday shipped. Weds recieved.
Can't say anything bad about Botach. They got me what i wanted, Called me to let me know about their stock, and got it to me in a timely fashion.
Final Score: A

I really hope this isnt necro posting becasue I feel I would be in trouble If I opend a new topic on them.
I orderd the following on Dec 29th.
5.11 Tatical boots Bolle t-800s
Now Dahm also bought the same boots as me. He got them on the 7th. Now I called on the 7th asking about my order since I had got no email from them as the status of my order. After 16 min of holding they connected me to someone. I told them my order number and they said it has not been shipped yet and it is in the Warehouse and they would forward my order to them. And also call me the next day about it. Today Jan12th I called again asking about my order. They said they said it has not been shipped out yet and they will forward my order again to the warehouse. And that they will email me soon. So I will give you guys a update a week from now.
