No Grant, what he has a history of is customers coming into his story who think he is just some stupid asian who hardly speaks english that they can get over on.
I'd offend those people right out the door too.
Like I said before, I'm not the owner, whatever problem he has with John has nothing to do with me.
At the end of the day I'm going to be able to price match any other online shop in the country, I'm going to have just about every new gun in stock, one of the cheapest prices on gas and bb's and I'm about to have one of the cheapest prices on batteries. If I don't have it, I'll specail order it asap. Not to mention 24 hour shipping.
If you want to be able buy stuff now, cheaper without waiting. Come talk to me or place an order online in the next few days when the payment and shipping shits 100% complete. If you don't, owell.

Ooo...tell me when you get decent prices on batteries. I'd be interested. Are they going to be about the same prices as cheapbatterypacks.com or just the same as other e-tailers?

Well, I guess that depends if we are talking the SAME battery packs built out of the SAME batteries.
I will use this an an example. Mini battery sold at cheapbattery build out of Intellect 1200 2/3A cells, I think we could match there shipped price. In fact i think we have some of those now we still have to unpack.
Sanyo cells, same battery, again I think we could match there shipped price on that one too.
If you are talking about those cheap no named cells they use in there like dirt cheap battery packs, I can't match those prices because they are not the same as we normally carry. Yes we could get batteries made out of those cells and for some people they work good, for some they don't. I personally have 4 of those cheap green batteries and they seem to work so/so. 3 of them seems to not hold that good of a charge well one of them KICKS ASS. It lasts twice as long as the other 3 and I bought all of them at the same time.
Not all batteries packs are the same quality.

Nah I was talking about the intellects. Though the new CBP cells aren't aweful. I've got one pack made out of them that lasts a good long time. Well a local source for batteries will be nice.

What voltage and mah ranges you looking for? Might already have them in the back.
Actually if anyone wants to chime in on what they use or like best, I'll see about getting more of an assortment in stock.

Probably like to get another 9.6v battery for my m15a4 fullstock....somewhere in the 3000-3300mah range. I don't like how much i have to push to get my 3600mah one in there. I think it might be a little big. I'll also probably be looking for a 9.6v double nunchuck in around the 1600mah range (for my UTG). So unless I pick up something with a crane stock thats about what i'm interested in. Reminds me i've gotta ask if there is a better way to formulate battery packs to make them fit in a armalite stock better.

If you guys wanna talk batteries then do so in a PM. This isnt the commerce section, its a retailer review and discussion section. Keep it on subject.
Look, even though John is competition that gives the man no right to verbaly assault him. John did nothing to provoke him into doing this. Sure Yong has the right to refuse business to anyone but not in that fashion. This whole incedent was wrong and there is no excuse for it what so ever.

I'm not picking sides here, Yong acted wrongly, and he has no excuse for what he said, not because he is foreign or anything, but if Kdogg gets money from me ordering from EmpireAirsoft, then I wouldn't mind........ If yong got it himself, I would not order, so Kdogg, you can tell yong you are saving his business.

Hey if you guys are going to sit here and slam the man and gang up on him, I'm going to take the opportunity to point out some positive things about the business.
I'm not advertising. If you want advertising, I got banners I can link.
I was asked a question, I replied. It's cool guys, I know you are all a close tight group of friends. You would stick up for each other even if John would have been the one to call Yong something. You would just be up on the forums saying John has his reasons blah blah blah.
I keep coming back to the whole "What problems John and Yong have have NOTHING to do with me". However John's comments affect me directly so yeah, I take some of this personal.
I don't know how much more professional I can be about this.
I also thank SWAT A4 for his reply.

Hey I have a question Canto, just for my own curiosity here. I wasn't sure if I could link directly to a thread on Proboard's so I just snapped the picture below. rare.ncats.net/~wmdsm/crap/cantoxii.JPGI noticed the date was way back in January but if that was your attitude towards Yong and his store, why did you still go there? Hell, you and your friends were pretty regular customers. If that's been your general attitude, I'm sure Yong picked up on it or maybe even heard you say something to one of your friends, Grant, Logan, someone? I mean the man doesn't just randomly pick customers to dislike. Only the ones who say or make rude comments first or try to get over on him. I don't know, I was just wondering. Hell that was before I started to work there anyway. I was just curious.

I know that I go there because its a lot easier to just say whatever go in, buy 5000 Bb's take 5 minutes and try to understand what he says, pay, and leave. Its a lot easier than ordering online, having to pay for shipping, and then wait for them to ship it. The only thing i've ever bought there was BB's

That is a good point, however Canto is the owner of Armory Airsoft, the man should have BBs or quick access to them.
If I felt that way about a business, I most likely wouldn't shop there. I'm not jumping on Canto here at all. Hell that post was before I worked there and Yong and John's problem has nothing to do with me.
I just happened on that post this morning and got to thinking that John claimed Yong called him a loud mouth mother-something or another. Where did this come from though? My guess would be maybe John came in with some friends like he always does and made a comments to one of them bitching about the store and Yong over heard it.
You know what I'm saying here? Maybe saying it was a bit extreme but I think I might understand why now.

Steve, who are you to say what John should have? Owning an airsoft buisness, while realativly simple to operate, is not by any means simple to finance. What John makes on orders goes in to having stock for gun shows, flea markets ect. He has the ability to drop ship anywhere the orders come from at his computer, and he uses that because for now, it is cost effective. His buisness is not at the capacity to hold stock for us, the team. Hence why we have to look at other places for ammunition and the basics.
John has shown nothing but good will towards other buisnesses. From Mr. Yong in particular, he has bought our teams gas, ammo, vests, and other necessities. The way He acts towards Mr. Yong now is a direct result from how Mr. Yong has acted towards him. He didn't just walk in one day saying to himself "Hmm, I wonder how I can plot to put Youngs out of buisness or piss off Mr. Young".
I will not deny the fact that John comes in and compares Mr. Yongs prices. He does. But they aren't to Armory Airsoft's. They are to the competitors to his own and Youngs Army/Navy Surplus. Isnt that what you are trying to solve Steve? Making Youngs competable with other online buisnesses? Johns buisness, while it is doing quite well, isn't on the same level as Youngs, seeing as Youngs is a physical store front, whereas Armory Airsoft is a virtual one.
We have been commenting to Mr. Yong on his prices and how to improve much longer than you have been around the store. It has only been recently, that he has taken comments like this with a grain of salt.
Mr. Yong is stubborn, rude, and has a very self harming sense of pride when it come to his buisness and how he runs it (at least in the airsoft sector). We are customers in the end. And as customers, we would like the opporunity to buy fairly priced airsoft guns locally and in person. Like The Juggernaut said, its much easier to deal with a storefront than an online buisness. We saw Youngs as that outlet, or at least potentially. I admire what you are doing with Youngs, but as much as you fix the airsoft area in terms of prices and selection, the one thing you cannot change is Mr. Yong's attitude. I cannot speak for everyone who has delt with Mr. Yong, but until his attitude changes, I will not buy from him any longer.
By the way, remember that incident you mentioned about those black ladies who came in the store and mentioned the higher prices to Mr. Yong? I do recall you telling us about that one day when we came in, and that it wasn't a joke like you referred to it here on the forum.
