Hmmmmm...has this topic gone way off course?
Combat Missions...Cops...corruption...racism...crossing guards...kkk...my dad can beat up your dad...Combat Missions?
I think some people (cough...cough...Motown) should stop taking written words so personally. When these forums first started, I wanted more people to converse. For people to engage in intellectual arguements, not bickering. Yes, I am guilty of this too, but if everyone gets up in arms by a few words written in casual context then these forums aren't fun anymore. Thats why I have spent hundreds of hours on my computer since October...because this place is fun (and because I don't study for any of my classes).
So please, lets make thse forums fun.
Edit: I forgot to get back on topc. Whose going to watch the C.M. season finale on Wednesday?

I just watched that episiode and it makes me laugh. Those guys are the best, huh. Realy do they tell the guys not to use what they learned. I even sometimes wonder if they realy are special forces.
Boy if that's who's protecting me I'm glad that I have a dog. So what if he's afraid of loud noises, weird sounds, sudden movments ect.

Ok ok ok! I know some of you are getting tired of this thread, but since the series finale was tonight I think this is needed. The winner ended up to be a Miami-Dade SWAT Cop (I thought the Navy SEAL was going to win).
The last showdown was a shootout between two guys in a small field with glass plates as cover. As time goes by, the glass plates explode. The best thing was that they weren't using MILES gear, instead they were using Simunitions. They had converted M-9 pistols and had to give their opponent a head-shot. I think that the last gun fight was rather enjoyable.
I hope there will be a second season. I think this series was entertaining, thought I could see how someone without any knowledge of modern combat (ie someone who isn't involved with airsoft), wouldn't get it.
I don't know how I'll do it, but someday I will be on that show.

I have to admit that some parts of that show were laughable, (during the missle recovery game) when Charlie had 4 guys rush into the building with no cover. I think 3 guys got shot off the bat. I think in that game all of Charlie got eliminated.
I just think it's interesting because I have played nearly all the scenarios that they simulated in the show (pilot down, weapons dump, CQB, etc).
What don't you get?

Although entertaining, the ending was pretty cheesy. I still am not too keen on the idea that the TEAM had to compete against itself. I feel they should have just crowned a team champion, instead of having the people fight amongst themselves.

I dont know, I'm asking you.
Anyways, the whole season was one tactical error after another. I liked when they walked through the suburb without any cover, just walked through. And what was that whole running up on every mission thing, every time they did that, they got shot. You might want to lay down and shoot.
I'm sorry but I'm rather see a show that completely non-realistic, than one that claims it is, but isn't.
Expections I guess.

I think that the "combat" wasn't properly simulated for the operators. I think they are used to different settings, just imagine the difference btw paintball and airsoft.
I also didn't like how they had to vote off a member (also very team-like). Maybe they should have made the guy with most kills champion.

Last post! I swear!
I thought that if the guys from Combat Missions went into an airsoft game they would get their asses kicked. Well now you get to find out.
The DELTA team (the team who should have won) is going to attend Operation: Iron Angel in CA. Here is a quote:
"The well-oiled machine that is Delta is going to participate in Operation Iron Angel. Scott, Rod, Baz, George and Garth from Combat Missions will match their skills talent and wit in this two day military event. Dont miss the chance of being able to say that youve palyed with the best team in Combat Missions!"
I think I smell a road trip!

This is probably a little to late to post about cops, but here i go. I don't know what havok said about rodney king. but that bastard got what he deserved. that son of bitch was all hopped up on stardust. and the only reason it made national attention was because he was black and the cops were white. and responding to sickpointes post, i live in st. clair shores, right next to grosse pointe, and i go to grosse point almost everyday to hang out with my friends. and i was just wondering why you make grosse pointe out to be such an evil place. It is a very nice place, and they should arrest punks and freaks because they are most likely causing trouble. You dont want to be stereotyped, then dress like everyone else. Thats my opinions. Interpret them as you like.

Hopefully this will be my last post on this thread but heres what I have to say. Leather you're a cow's rump. I hate you sir. You updated the old "Join the Marines" thread which was God knows how old. Secondly you showed your lack of inteligence in the Walleye fishing thread saying that it was "gay", which shows that you're a stupid childish person that thinks that the word "gay" is insulting. Then you go on about Rodney King deserving to be beaten. Wow you're stupid. Being on drugs isnt a reason to be beaten by police. Thats terrific that you live in SCS and I'm happy you're friends with some GP guys/gals, but when you say police should arrest and freaks/punks whatever it is that you said, that made me quite upset. I go to school and recive taunts like "freak" and "fag" and other nonsenes along with someother friends of mine on the board like Blorfo and Tabomabi. It's people like you that make this world a living hell for people like myself and other friends of mine. Dont tell us to wear the same clothes to fit in because that is one of the most outlandish things I have ever heard, baseing my social status and what my actions are on my clothes. I dont dress preppy and I dont intend to unless it's for a special event such as a wedding or something along the lines of that. Minky thank you for saying what you did right out in the open.
EDIT- Heres my main reason for not likeing Grosse Pointe. Sgt. Jackass "Oh look a black guy in Grosse Pointe, he's up to no good!" African American man "Good evening officer, hows your day going today?" Sgt. Jackass "OPEN FIRE!!!" Now I know thats a little extreme but stuff does happen a lot like that in Grosse Pointe. Also I'm not saying all cops are like that, I have some friends on the force and I'm not accusing them of anything. But the majority of the people in Grosse Pointe are racist, self ubsorbed, jerks that cant handle anything located outside of "the bubble".

I think it's safe to say that this topic has run its course.... it then flew off that course and crashed in a pile of flaming rubble. What I'm getting at is: Thread locked
