I paid over $400 dollars for an M1919A6 off the airsharp site, thinking 'gee, this guy looks like a respectable character, most of the reviews are good, why not?'
First problem, he couldn't process my credit card. Never really understood why, I don't know what system he used. I had to borrow another persons card to make the transaction and then refund them the money.
Second problem, I ordered this in mid-December. I received it on March 18th. Almost 4 months it took for him to build the gun and ship it to me. I occasionally e-mailed him to check the status, he never bothered to e-mail me to let me know. But of course he had time enough to send me and every single other customer of his 3 different product advertisements and sale offers. The last email I send him does not even dignify a response, he simply sends me the UPS tracking info. Not a single word otherwise. wtf? You'd think someone who's dealing with a customer who spent over $400 dollars and had waited for 4 months would at least thank them for their business or apologize for the wait. Nothing
Third problem, when I received the gun it was in pieces. No problem I thought, they probably just broke it down to save on shipping. This was true, except there is absolutely no instructions on how to assemble it. Granted the parts are only broken down into major components, but I didn't design the damn thing. I scratched the ABS plastic outer barrel all to hell because I didn't know how to place the bi-pod adapter. The bolt that holds the back of the receiver and stock on to the body has no nut or was simply not designed with one. It is advertised as able to be broken down without tools, and this is about the only thing that IS true. It can be broken down without tools because the gun is being held together by two bolts drilled straight into the sides of the shitty plastic body.
Fourth problem, when I first opened the packaging I expected what his pictures seemed to advertise. An ABS plastic body assembled by bolts with quality on par with TM plastic. Again not the case. When I tore the newspaper off the receiver assembly, I thought it was made of wood. The edges of every component piece except the stock had not been finished, and show the grain like patterns from a plastic cutting tool. I can literally pinch the walls of the receiver with two fingers and bend them inwards. And the best part, the receiver HAS NO BOTTOM!. Theres a bracing bar to keep the receiver from snapping in half, but otherwise nothing. At all. The V7 gearbox and motor are directly exposed to sand, water, or anything else normally encountered on an airsoft field. The bi-pod consists of two 1 inch PVC tubes with shaped plastic ends that screw into the adapter. Nothing to hold them there or anything. I continue assembling it anyway, hoping somehow the gun will be more solid when complete. I pick it up for the first time completely unloaded (without battery or BB's, the ammo box supposedly holds 8000) and I hear a sickening CRACK. The stock tube which is more or less glued to the back of the receiver has cracked at the seams. I cannot even lift this gun off the floor without it breaking, much less take it to an event.
This gun is absolute garbage, and is absolutely nothing like the advertised product. It cost me over $400 dollars to buy stripped down AGM M14 internals and a piece of shit plastic body that I could have built myself for less than $25. The owner clearly cannot keep up with his rate of sale and cares little about making sure his customers understand the status of their gun. Airsharp is an under equipped, under staffed business that sells poor quality products at a high price. If you have $400 dollars laying around and want to invest in a support weapon, look elsewhere. You will absolutely, without the slightest doubt, be extremely disappointed in this product.
Mods, I do hope this is in the correct section. It isn't so much a retailer review as a product review.
