why do you guys keep on buying online support your local retailer . Our prices are pretty close to the internet and you can actually feel and try guns at a local shop. people just dont get it .

I try to buy from local dealers as much as possibl but when you cant get around by yourself [under 16] then it is very hard to get places to order.
By the way has anyone figured out where these guys are located? I cant

I agree there are plenty of us Local dealers around here that there is no real need to order stuff online. And for prices i know that most of us will match or beat what other sites have online. Shop local before you give your money to some out of state or even worse out of country.

Not everyone lives close enough to visit Michigan stores, S-system. If I lived closer, I would. I personally don't feel like driving 2 or more hours to a store just to be as disappointed by their stock as I am with their sites.
If all the Michigan stores would get their sites finished, hey, I might be more inclined to go to them as I do 90% of ALL my shopping online ( airsoft and otherwise ).
Every one of the Mi. sites has broken links, missing items and are basically incomplete. I'm not a phone ordering type either. I don't trust giving my credit card numbers over the phone.
SO, instead of me driving 2+ hours to be disappointed or attempting to look on their incomplete sites, I can buy the shit online elsewhere without the taxes and get exactly what I want with a HUGE selection. Be it Hong Kong or other stateside retailers.
Plus, all the shameless plugs on the forums turn me off as a customer.
It's like a 3 some with a chick and 2 guys, there's bound to be a " sword fight ". As far as Michigan airsoft goes, it's always a " sword fight " , so to speak.
Just my opinion, though.

Scope, Airsoft Global's "About Us" Section says this: "Airsoft Global is a more than 10 years airsoft company, based in Hong Kong. Our retail customers are come from worldwide, especially Europe, America and Asia. Additionally, Airsoft Global has been the wholesale dealer for other foreign airsoft company at stated periods."
Few points regarding online shopping and local retailers:
- I also enjoy shopping online, very little to no hassle
- The selection available at Michigan retailers seems limited, considering I'm looking for a Western Arms 1911 and as far as I can tell, exactly one Michigan store advertises one model online (which isn't one of the models I'm looking for.)
- S-System - no offense, but the spy ops website isn't very easy to browse, nor can you buy anything online - I tried to look for a SERPA holster when it was mentioned in another thread, but couldn't find it for the life of me. I guarantee you that if you made improvements to it (or hired someone to,) you would bring in more sales, both online and customers walking in.

It's like a 3 some with a chick and 2 guys, there's bound to be a " sword fight ". No way, dude. Eiffel Tower for the win! On the topic of shameless plugs on the forum, we try to keep that to a minimum here because Crazyman is right - it detracts from the purpose of the forum itself. Hado didn't create this board to give Michigan stores a place to advertise for free. He created it such that Michigan airsofters could compare notes, share good information, and meet up for fun games.

Plus, all the shameless plugs on the forums turn me off as a customer. I don't know what rock your living under but EVERY airsoft dealer post banners, links and plugs there shops on some forum or another. Every single one of them. Airsoft Extreme, Airsoft Atlanta, Airsplat, Trinity, Airsoft GI, Hotspot, Evike, Airsoft Arms, Reddawn, us, etc, etc, etc, etc. How else do you expect them to get info out there about new products, services, items etc?

Well kdogg, there are means of doing that, like the "Retailer Announcements" subsection of Commerce, Retailer Reviews and Discussion, and standard channels of advertising like links on the left. There's nothing inherently wrong with some advertising, I understand that retailers need to promote themselves and I seriously doubt our community would function as well if we didn't have any interaction with the local dealers who sell us products.
I think the problem comes when you make unnecessary plugs in normal discussion... for example, the guy who started this thread was probably just looking for insight into airsoft global... not a debate on buying local vs. international...

I think the problem comes when you make unnecessary plugs in normal discussion... for example, the guy who started this thread was probably just looking for insight into airsoft global... not a debate on buying local vs. international... That's exactly the rock I've been living under, Kdogg. As Psychosis said, in the retailers announcements. It's not necessary or professional to challenge every thread about another retailer and throwing in you're biased opinion. You work at an airsoft store, so in my opinion commenting on a thread like that is a conflict of interest. If you guys want to advertise, use the retailer announcements OR, sponser games or hell, you guys could even PAY for advertisement like other places do. There are many other unbiased options available. Don't go around claiming your dick's bigger than theirs. It makes you look desperate. You don't see Boredkender doing that shit. And if you've been here for awhile, Bill from 21st was told several times in the past that it's not acceptable, too. I've been reading topics here since mid 03, and decided to join in 05 then changed to a new name in 06. Since I've been a " member " I've seen quite a few of the same actions that Bill was getting his ass chewed for. Again, just my opinions and personal observations. On a side note, I attempted to order a simple wiring assembly yesterday from Empire, a Michigan retailer, shortly after, I received a phone call from you, Kdogg, stating that the item was out of stock and I could order a Systema for more than double the price, taking my total from 15.99 plus tax and 8.00 shipping to 39.99 plus tax and I assume the same shipping costs. That's nearly 50 bucks after it's all said and done. For trigger wiring?? Forget the ICS, I can get a CA or Guarder harness shipped from HONG KONG for 26 bucks, GUARANTEED in stock and at my door 4-5 days later. Again, that's why I shop in HK or out of state. No offense.
